I just received my credit card statement from Visa and found 76.99 had been paid to "Digital Star +44208123737 +44208123737," for an activity/product/service (listed under "Activity Description") I did not recognize. I Immediately called Visa and reported it as an "unauthorized transaction." The Customer Service representative with whom I spoke checked the information I provided and told me Digital Star appeared to be a "Theatrical Producer." He asked me if I had done any business with the company on a particular date; I told him I had not. I then learned that the same amount actually had been paid twice to the same company, but on different dates separated by about two weeks. The customer service rep then said he was going to turn my complaint over to the Loss Prevention Department where they would initiate a fraud investigation. The person with whom I spoke in Loss Prevention told me they were going to proceed with a fraud investigation that would take approximately 4 weeks. In the meantime, my Visa card would be cancelled, effective immediately, and a new card with a different number would be issued and sent to me within 10 business days. I would have to use some other source of credit until I received the card.
I then Googled "Digital Star +44208123737 +44208123737,"found this site, and decided to add "my two cents worth."

Exact same thing happened to me -- there's a main thread on this topic on this board, you should add your comments there so the scope of this fraud can be better understood.

What bank is your VISA with? Mine was with CIBC -- I call the Toronto Star and they are following up with the bank.
There were 2 entries with amounts differing by a few cents. I hope that CIBC will find out the origin of this scam.
That's enough.
