I have no recollection of authorizing this company to charge my account. How they got my credit card information is beyond me. But, I cannot make contact with anyone and cannot get this stopped.
What do you suggest?

I ordered some herb oil online. It was a sample for about $8.95. I had no idea that I was signing up for an online subscription. It did require that I "Agree to Terms and Conditions. I looked at them, but I did not see the fine print that they claim enrolled me in a subscription service. It is a setup as most of us know that the legal terms over pages are not always understandable to the average user. A trust factor is involved. This company will abuse your trust. The ad for the site was on Breibartnews.com. The ad took me to this site: https://www.1freebottle.com. It is very professional looking, and is https: so it looks secure and legitimate.
Site said product would ship within 5 days. It took two weeks. It took two weeks. By that time I was apparently past the date when I could up out of the subscription I did not know I had enrolled in. Rather than the $8.95 for the sample, my Visa card was charged $69.95. Since I monitor my account, I noticed the charge right away. The site says you will see a charge on your card with a particular reference number, but it showed up under a different name. I did not see any charge on my statement of 8773489308HEALTHYFITA as the email said, but I did get a statement on my account from TODAYSHEALTHOPTION.COM 800-4218312 WA

I called Bank of America to dispute the charge. The online help at BOA were familiar with this scam. The BOA client service rep said that I had agreed to the terms and conditions by checking a little box. She knew what the site was doing and how it worked. When I told her it was a scam, she said, "It may be a scam, but it is NOT illegal." I couldn't believe how familiar with the site, and knew what I had clicked on. I put the claim in dispute, even though she didn't want to, as she was convinced I would loose. She did give me a number to call to opt out of the subscription. This is the number: 800-421-8312 . I called this number and got a call center in India or Pakistan. I didn't have to wait too long, and she took my info, looked up my subscription and said it was now cancelled, but I would have to pay the subscription charge because I had not cancelled in time to avoid it. So, if you do have a charge showing from this company, call the number and cancel your subscription.
It was by putting the charge in dispute and calling the BOA number for dispute help that I got the number to call to cancel my subscription. It took me awhile, but I found an online form at BOA for submitting complaints. I informed BOA that "I will be writing to the FTC and the Attorney General of Missouri if this transaction is not corrected. TODAYSHEALTHOPTION.COM 800-4218312 This scam merchant is known to you. When I called your help desk, I was told that "This may be a scam, but it is not illegal." Your customer service then explained how on their sites if you click "Agree to terms" you are enrolled. This company is described on online sites as a scam site. You know it, and yet you still allow them to charge to my account. This could easily be a class action suite if popularized online. I have had relief from Sprint and other large companies when I have appealed to state Attorney Generals. And I will do so if this fraudulent charging to my account is not stopped. You know these scam companies. You owe the public protection rather than helping them scam."
