Overdraft Fees

Chase just closed my checking account because I had a negative balance of $1147.00, 850.00 of which are overdraft fees.  I have filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Bureau and am waiting for an update.  Chase pays the largest amount first regardless of date order, therefore if you are 10.00 overdrawn, you rack up 3 34.00 fees a day because everything posted after the larger amount bounces, but they let it go through.  If they do not let it go through, they charge you a $34.00 insufficient funds fee.   I refuse to pay them the 850.00.  I offered to pay the 288.00 that is the overdraft balance, but not 850.00 in fees.  Chase said NO.
