I ordered a free trial sample of Bromalite colon clenser. The ad states only shipping is required (4.95). The company has now charged my credit card $69.95 without my approval. I tried to reach them by phone. They do not have a toll free number. The number they listed on my charge - I got no answer?

    Now what do we do??  The same thing happened to me.  I am totally inexperienced in this field.  I never order anything on line.The one time I do it turns out to be an absolute nightmare.  I wasn't in a hurry to check on the additional charge as I thought it would be a simple explanation and the charge would be removed.  Then I went on line and found out this is a regular practice.  Who do we complain to besides each other?  I contacted my credit card company and found out there were two more unauthorized charges from them. I asked what would be best and they advised me to change my card number.  I should not be inconvenienced.  They should be thrown out of business.  Consumers cannot afford these ripoffs.

    I to have had the same thing happen to me but I did not even open this product. I have 69.95 on hold and my bank said I will be able to file charges if they don,t return my money.

    I just noticed the $69.95 charge on my credit card this morning for my free trial sample so I just googled BRI*Bromolite and hit this string of complaints. The first thing I tried to do was go to their website and figure out what is going on. There is a place on the website where you can figure out what you signed up for or cancel the order. Both of those links malfunctioned. Next, I called customer service. I had to wait about 20 monites for a rep but the hold was pretty good. Periodically the system would tell me how many people were ahead of me and how much longer I had to wait. The I spoke with a rep who said that the fine print on the website (which he said he wished was bigger) said they assume you are signing up for the product if you don't call and cancel. He issued me a refund and cancelled my account. I have to wait 8-11 days to see if it truly did refund to my credit card, but the process seemed pretty easy. The customer service number is on the website, and is 1-866-897-0663. I hope it worked!

    I took your advise and called the 866-897-0663 phone number and they are refunding my account for $70.00, however they will not pay for the overage charges that my bank charged my account b/c it became over drawn when the charges from Dri Bromalite came out of the account. I used to be a Huge Fan of Oprah, infact her show is the reason I orded this product with out hesitation. I figured if she was advertising it than i don't have to worry about a scam...boy was i wrong! I strongly encourage anyone ordering this product to think about how else they would like to spend their time and money that this company will cause them to loose before you order this "free trial," that is not a Free Trial at all.
