Purchased a whirlpool stainless steel refrigerator from Home Depot. Was delivered in April 2017 and 4 months later we noticed rust spots on the door.  We only ever used a soft cloth and water for cleaning. Model:WRB329RFBM00 Serial: K71102754

Called Whirlpool and went through steps of having a tech visit, tried their cleaner, then recommended replacement. We also noticed the same rust happening on the freezer door.

Whirlpool says the doors will continue to rust because the appliance is being used "in a caustic environment". The doors aren't covered under warranty because of that, but will be replaced one time as a courtesy. I have other, much older stainless steel products that do not rust. I was told the caustic environment is because I live near water.

Note: the fridge is used indoors in a temp and moisture controlled home. Not on a deck, a boat, or a beach.

So, it's been 6 months since first reporting the problem and all I have is bewilderment and frustration and a rusty 10 month old fridge. We have had 4 tech visits, 2 visits with the wrong
replacement door, many conversations and emails with Whirpool, and no satisfaction.

I'm at a loss and just want people to know what they could be getting into.

What would satisfy me:
Money back
Take my fridge away
Don't make and sell pseudo stainless steel products
