Bought a lemon

I purchased this Maytag 4000 series washer 1 year and 5 months ago. All of a sudden it started making loud banging noises, which come to realize the drum and bearing need to be replaced!  Unbelievable since the washer is fairly new and this repair that will cost as much as the washer itself!  It seems that I am not the only one having these problems.  Been reading complaint after complaint about problems with the drum and bearing, I am outraged!  This product should be recalled!!  Shame on you Maytag!
