Holes/scorch marks in laundry

Bought Whirlpool Duet Washer in 2011. Lately getting a lot of holes and rubber type scorch marks on laundry. Possibly getting caught/twisted somehow on the rubber seal in door. Will probably get a new washer --not a Whirlpool Duet. Am going to contact the BBB. Won't even bother repairing it.
