I had a scammer to call me tell me that I owe on a loan and that I needed to pay it in full or it would be reported. They knew how much and which creditor so I paid them. The creditor called me and wanted payment I told him I paid it he had no record of that then I gave him the number he said I was scammed I called the scammer up he laughs calls me sucker. His number is 786-272-6524.

    I received a call telling me that my Windows Internet Explorer  had been hacked and my identity hadbeen stollen.  He wanted me to  turn on my computer. At this point I quit listening I hung up.  The phone rang again  wanting to know why I hung up.  I hung up and he called back again.  I told him don't call back and hung up again. So beware

    Received a call regarding Google Maps from 407-842-7156. They hung up when I asked too many questions- registered to paetec.

    I got a call from 954-556-7292  it is registered to paetec but they answered the phone as IRS this is a scam i'm going to  post this everywhere until they are stopped.

    I have received a call from the number 718-303-1166, a PAETEC number. I answered and he asked "Is this... Bre**** B*******?" I hesitated and answered "Yes, this is she." Right after i said that, he hung up the phone. I called back the number and it said that it was temporarily disabled. It's weird because i have 2 alternate last names. My legal last name (Which i use for purchases with my debit card) has the last name C, which is written on my birth certificate. The last name B is the one i use when i register for accounts on social media and is the one my step father uses.

    I'm a minor and don't have a credit card or any debt because i have not started university nor taken out any loans, so it's weird how he knew my alternate last name and was trying to call me.

      i know this is an old post , and that you did not  have any credit rating as of yet because you didnt have any credit cards or debt , however if you had any form of checking or savings account , the fact that you said the word YES on the phone could have been used by a scammer to apply for credit in your name and when the agent on the other end of the line asked questions that would require a YES reply . The scammer would play your recorded voice with the word YES edited out of the rest of the sentence. NEVER EVER SAY THE WORD YES WHEN AN UNFAMILIAR CALLER CALLS YOU . INSTEAD SAY WHO WANTS TO KNOW ?

    I received a call from this number 202 459 4681 and the caller said he  was from the IRS and was going to put me in jail for back taxes I hung up the phone because my taxes are always paid on time every year so, I KNOW IT WAS A SCAM CALL.

    Yup. I got one of these calls from 202-683-4280. Automated voice claiming to be from US Treasury Dept., and hoping to hear back from me before I'm arrested. How lovely and professional. Lol. I have some time on my hands and frequently try to take up there time, so as they can't bother others. My personal favorite is pretending to be a detective and telling them they just called the home of a murdered person. "Who's calling?", "How do you know the deceased?", "Where were you last night at such and such time", "If you hang up, there well be multiple officers from multiple agencies at your door.", etc... I also make a lot of noise and pretend to be talking to my "Superior" (with my hand over the receiver ~ kinda) while using various expressions to convey the "Murder Scene" ("Sarg, look at that wall, it's covered w/blood, be sure they keep everyone else outta here until samples are taken", "Hey, looks like they didn't know their attacker. Look at the lock.", "We need to get names of EVERYONE who's had contact w/them in past 24 hours, INCLUDING ANY INCOMING CALLERS." etc., then pretend to bring my attention back to scammer). I use a very harsh/serious tone. I taped myself doing this to a scammer. HILARIOUS!! His response was precious! Scared the bejesus outta him. Not much else to do, as I've made complaints before, and nothing ever comes from them. Might as well waste THEIR time... Sorry to hear so many others are going through this, too. Good luck!!

    Paetec Communications Telecom Company sent a voip recorded call from a 617-651-8750.  We give money to the Iranians to free hostages - which is illegal.  How about using the $400M to stop/jail/deport these imbeciles or give them a permanent label of scammer associated with their Social Security number.  Jail the CEO and his co-horts.  If they are foreigners, ban them.  How hard is it if you have the will to stop this BS?  My pathetic Federal Government taxes out the wazoo but cannot protect us from ISIS nor scammers.  Pathetic lazy weasels.

    Paetec Communications call me and said they was from advance America and ask me did I need a 1000 dollar loan, they ask for your bank account number and the routing number

    I am a retired sheriff's lieutenant with 30 years of service.  I received a call from these clowns at 1130 pm  a couple of days ago .  I was told that i was going to be arrested for an income  mattter t hat i committed.  I started asking them questions bout case number, u.S. Attorney issuing warrant, bail amount, etc.  All of a sudden they hung up i called again and the idiots talked to me again.  I spoke to an investigator from the fair trade commission and was advised they are  working on the problem.  That will take some time

    I forgot to put this in my original complaint. The call from Coach James came from the number 916-287-0016. Again, this man seems is intending to scam elderly people with a promise of making big money.

    Keep calling daily.  Answered a couple times and told them the person they wanted to talk to was not available. (They claim to be Humane Society @ 661-670-2607 a Pactec communincations call out of California.)  Since learning from this site they are a SCAM caller I have let the answering machine entertain the caller.

    I received a call from 3473941694 stating they were the IRS and this was my final warning before they filled a lawsuit against me.  I was sure it was a scam so I began to research which led me to this site.  Isn't this a federal offense?

    Received a call from 443-451-3950 asking for a donation to Breast Cancer.  Double checking and found # associated with Paetec.  Asking for  $50/30/20.  Saying they are sending packet out in 3-5 days.  Is it a scam???

      Automated caller said they are from Blue Cross Blue Shield and for me to verify my address to receive non-narcotic pain medication.   Telephone search reveals the number is from Paetec Communications.  267-396-1072.  When I call back it is a non-working number.  I am reporting this to Blue Cross and filing a complaint on-line with the FCC.  This company is illegal and should be shut down with criminal charges.

      I keep getting calls from 646 845 3265 at early morning (4-5 am)  The caller ID shows SL Green Realty Co. I have called that Co (SLGreen in NYC) and they know nothing about these calls. I now know the phone carrier is Paetec and everything from them is labeled  SCAM

      I got a call from 321-406-2980 he is asking me to put ads on Craigslist and says he works for a Brewing Company period when I trace the call it says paetec Communications Incorporated in Cape Canaveral Florida. Has anybody had calls like this?
