Today I got a call from 2026459824. The guy told me his name is Sean Jackson and he is calling from homeland security. He told me that I have not registered my alien number and so I would be deported. To avoid this I need to pay penalty of $565 to Pratik Trivedi at  American High commission New Delhi thru western union. He had my name address, and also obm nos. on my i94 card. I didnt have the cash so didnt transfer money , he threatened me and hung up.

Please be aware of such a**holes and dont transfer any money. I did some research and found that alien number is generated when you apply for greencard. I made a complaint with the DHS.

Have you by any chance entered your i94 card number into any fake websites, maybe a "payday loan" or "job search" site?

I got deceived by these people and had to pay 2400 USD. They threatened me by saying that i will be deported in 24 hrs, will get black mark on my passport status. I got really scared (thought about my career). They didn't let me hang-up the phone and when phone would get disconnected automatically they would call me back and yell at me for hanging up. Next day, they said American High Commission in Delhi have rejected my case and i will get a refund in two days, but mumbai consulate have accepted it and you have to again submit 2400 USD by today. When i said i don't have more money then they threatened me again. I said i can come by our office to collect the check, will en cash it and transfer the money again. They gave me an address - 200 Independence Avenue Washington. I looked it up online and realized that this is the address for department of health and human services.
In the hindsight i know it was very stupid of me to believe them but i seriously didn't get any time to think and when you live alone, you are not able to discuss this with anyone as well. I started thinking of the repercussions of being deported and made this <i am short of words> mistake. I hope nobody else gets be fooled by these a**holes.

Can anyone let me know how to file complaint for this? I don't want them to use my personal information any further.

    Thanks

Today December 2, 2019 I received a phone call (202-224-0911) from someone in Washington DC introducing himself as American High Commissioner. He had some information about me and said I entered the country illegally and therefore I will be deported. I said I am a US citizen. Are you crazy? When I asked him for his name and he hanged up. When I called back I was connected to 911. I explained what happened and she connected me to an agent in DC. I explained everything to him. The scammers ask for money. So, be careful not to be fooled. Ask them about their name and address, etc.
