I was on a month to month plan with Ballys.  There was not notification that they were changing to Blast.  I hadn't been going to Ballys because I was working in a area of town where 24 hour fitness was right across the  street.  I found out they changed after I had to switch credit cards and I started getting calls and emails from ABC Financial stating that my card was declined.  At first I thought it was a scam because I had never heard of ABC financial and just the name sounds fishy.
When went online and tried to cancel, the link for doing so came back as "404 Directory Not Found".  When I called them and talked to them, they told me I had to go to the club, get a cancellation policy, send it to customerservice@abcfinancial.com and it would take 30 days.  Interesting, with Ballys I was on a month to month plan, aparently I am on a month to month plan + 1 with Blast.  My recommendation when it comes to Blast Fitness and ABC Financial ....RUN...........RUN  AWAY

    BLAST FITNESS/ABC FINANCIAL SCAM!!!!!!!!
SAME THING HERE. STAY AWAY FROM BLAST FITNESS AND ABC FINANCIAL. I signed my daughter up in October, they made no attempts to take money form my bank account, NOW, in Jan, they say that they have reported me to a collection agency. I had no idea that it wasnt even paid. They continually say there is something wrong with my card YET, may card works everwhere else. ABC financial is RUDE. I am reporting them to the Attorney General's office, but, seriously, do not even sign up for this company.

I was a President and First lady club member since 1984 paying  $1100.00 for my membership and $53.07 for my renewals every year. When Ballys took over I did not have to do anything exept get the Ballys card. I used to renew my  membership 3 yrs. at a time. I did not get any notification from the Ballys that Blast was taking over. I did receive a letter from Blast asking me to renew my membership at 11.91 a month or 197 a year. Since the amt. was not applicable I thought it could be some one elses advertisement. So I ignored it. Lately means over 2 yrs, I have not been to Ballys either. One day after Christmas a friend of mine who is also a ballys member brought up the subject and told me all about it and the nest day I called the Blast, and did not get any where.Yesterday I got the local nr. and called and he told me I need to get i touch with abc financing, I did with no answer. Recording kept on saying, " please hold some one will be with you shortly". I put the phone for 1 1/2 hrs. on speaker phone with no person answering. Finally AS their instruction I came to online and this where I end up. Is there no law out there to stop this kind of cheating?

Abc financial is a rip off!!!! I paid my dues for well over my two year membership! I canceled by their policy, written notice. I was advised by the cs rep to say cancel my account and please stop the withdrawal from my account. She informed me that they would still take out march 2013 payment because they needed a 30 day notice. I told her I understood no problem! Now on march 25, 2013 they call wanting to turn me into collects because they can no longer debit my account for the final $30 payment! Because the rep told me to put in writing to no longer debit my account! Just another scam if you ask me! Like I said I paid them for 3 years well past my 2 year contract! Take the $30 out of that! I'm done with this gym and this company! I will never sign a contract with a company again if they use this financial institute! Thank god I have recorder on my phone at the office!!!

Same thing here.  They closed the memorial location.  I have been with Bally's for many years, but with all that it is happening I am going to cancel my membership.  Hopefully, I can get a refund.  I don't understand the reason behind going in person to the gym to request a cancelation form and then send it to ABC financial.   It is a wast of time.  They should make that form available on line.  I will be reporting them to the Attorney General's Office too.

When this Blast bought out Bally's I called and cancelled my membership which I had paid annually. Now, more than a year later, I have been arbitrarily charged an annual fee for $155.75. I am married to an attorney and will be pursuing every way possible to stop this operation.

I have a question. I've been dying to cancel my membership with these people but they've been sending me in circles for months now. Recently I got a new debit card due to the whole target hacking mishap and I have had to give my new number to alot of places that do automatic withdrawel. Since I couldn't stop them from taking my money before, I figured I just won't give them my new account number. My question is will they just cancel my membership due to non-payment as most things including pg&e, direct tv, internet companies, etc. Or will they just let my bill get higher and higher and keep my membership in effect? Has anyone been through this? Will I have to worry about it ruining my credit in any way?

I was told to have my son fill it out.. Thats bull i pay for the member ship not  him so i should be able to fill it out... This is bull..Never again... Oh they just pull 40.00 for yearly fee...

Blast signed me up for a membership and took the first and last months payments on 1/8/2015.  On 1/9/2015 the doors to the gym were LOCKED with a sign on the door saying they were being evicted for non payment of their rent.  By 1/12/2015 the doors were unlocked so I utilized my membership for about 3 weeks before I went to the gym on a Thursday night and the doors were LOCKED again!!!  This time the doors remained locked all weekend.  Finally on the following Thursday I went by the gym and the lights were ON.  I stopped in for a workout but when I walked in, the rep was from Gold's Gym.  I was told the Blast Gym went out of business but that they would honor my Blast Membership at Gold's Gym which is 15 minutes further away than Blast is from my home and work.  ( I work out on my lunch break so I would end up driving 30 min to the gym and 30 min back to work and NOT get any working out accomplished if I were to drive ALL THE WAY THERE ) So the desk clerk told me to call this 888 827 9262 to cancel my membership.  When I did the rep says that she will not cancel my membership until I pay a 54 dollar cancellation FEE.  Blast sold me a membership KNOWING they were going out of business ( THE DOORS WERE LOCKED THE NEXT DAY ) and then they made me pay 2 months down which was 50 bucks....3 weeks later they LOCK THE DOORS AND CLOSE SHOP and tell me that they will keep running my ACH drafts until I pay them a cancellation fee.  I am VERY interested in a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT if anyone else is....

Just want to add my voice here, Blast and ABC are running a fraudulent operation.  I joined at a specific location, less than 30 days later that location was closed (with no prior notice of any kind).  I tried a different location some miles away but it was a dump.  So when I called to cancel and get my money back, they insisted on charging me 2 months for 2 weeks of membership!  Worse, if I dispute the charge on my card, for a membership I used for 2 weeks, they threatened to report me to a credit agency.

Blast fitness is complete trash.  Cancel your membership with them by any means necessary, and RUN away from them like a plaque!!!
After cancelling my membership, they continued to take money out of my credit card.  I disputed the charges ASAP.
Bad business blast fitness...they change their hours of operation of the gym without giving notice (email/letter) to their members.  What nonsense!!

New Britain Ave in Hartford, CT I went to the facility and the doors are closed. I met the owner of the shopping center and told me that he closed the facility because they don't take care the property. This is a new gym less than two years old. They moved all the members to Planet Fitness in Newington.  Therefore, I would like to cancel my membership as soon possible.
