energery saver mode

A few days ago I was watching my 47 inch LCD Samsung tv when I noticed this funny looking transparent box shape in the middle of my screen while watching a program. For the next day I kept trying to find ways to get rid of this shape and had absolutely zero luck.  It looked like a particular pattern but for the life of me I couldn't figure out where it came from.  
Then that night I walked into the living room and noticed that there was a Directv energy saver logo that matched that pattern perfect includding the writing in the box.  I guess this is some application they came up with that would shut down signal going to that box if it wasn't used in a 4 hour period .  It must help them save that signal when not being used.  Well apparently it burned a permanent logo into my LCD tv an now it's there for good. When I called customer service they said I needed to contact Samsung it must be something wrong with the tv. I told her it was a funny thing that until they installed that software without my permission my tv was completely fine and had no transparent Directv energy logo imprinted in the middle of my tv. I asked if they researched to make sure it wouldn't ruin these types of tv's and of course got no answer for that.  I asked them to send a tech out to at least take a look and they flat out said no it had nothing to do with there service so they wouldn't come.  She said I could go into the menu and turn it off but obviously it's too late for that.  Now I have a very expensive tv that has a transparent Directv logo in the middle of my screen .  I am totally upset about this and don't really know what steps to take next.

If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears !!!!!!!
