Incorrect Late Penalties - BofA refuses to remove them.
Complaint

Hello,
I have just spent over an hour on the phone with Bank of America for the 4th time in 3 months.
All because they will not remove a penalty from my account that was THEIR fault.
Now they are charging my monthly min. payment DOUBLE and refuse to change this.

It all started in Sept. when my online statement reflected TWO min. payments due. I called customer service and a human being told me that it was a mistake and to disregard one of the payments, making only one payment reflected. THEN my card went haywire; late fees, penalties, etc....
I've called in and the finance charges were reimbursed but the PENALTY has stayed on the card for late payment. The customer service person never recorded the call and now its my word against Bank of America as Teresa Rager does not believe I called in and will not make the nec. changes to delete the penalty.
As a result I will owe of 14.99 percent of under $10,000 a minimum payment of $325.00
PLEASE HELP ME.... I'm being squeezed and I have an excellent track record with B of A.
I don't know what to do!
Sincerely,
Marcy Mendelson
