Sheets are not thoroughly washed

My wife and I bought the Maytag Centennial two years ago.  Ever since we bought it  my wife has been complaining that the sheets are never cleaned right.   In fact when they come out of the washer they are only partially wet. At least half the sheet is dry.   If this is their answer to using less water I know now how they can take claim to that fact.  I would recommend sticking with the old agitator type machine.  In fact we are thinking of getting rid of this piece of junk.
