I received a call from JetDirectfunding. they sounded legit and I decided I would work with them. Once they had important information from me, the main contact email no longer worked or would anyone answer the phone or return calls. here is then name of the person. I strongly caution anyone from dealing with this company in the future!

Any time you are considering using any service requiring an up-front payment, check out the company.  In many states, loan modification companies are required to be licensed, or may not be allowed to accept un-front payments until services are performed.  They may be required to be licensed to do business in a state even when they are located in a different state.  Some states allow exceptions for attorneys, in which case you can check out the attorney's licensing with the state bar association.

Check with your state Attorney General for the laws that apply to your state.  Alternatively, you might consider locally based non-profit mortgage or credit counceling organizations, or local licensed attorneys for advice.

I have been working with jet direct funding for a wile now too. Everyone who i have spoken with has been suck a great help to me. I have had the pleasure wit speaking to perry. He is a little rough but he does what he has to do to get the job done. I am very happy with the way everything turned out for me they saved my home i couldnt be happyer. I do belive they are honest with everyone. Yes i did pay them up front and yes it is true that you can have a modification done for free at your bank BUT... they will no do for you what Jet Direct Funding can. My rate is now 2% and my payments are cut more then in half. They saved my family. I HIGHLEY RECOMEND THEM AND NO ONE ELS!!!

    tj, PJameson,

Thank you so much for your insightful postings! Although I did not know the name of the company, I’d seen an ad on TV for Mortgage help—contending that new government programs were offering incentives for lenders to work with homeowners in trouble. I called them and spoke with someone named Anna. However, before sending them personal information as requested, I googled the company name to see what others were saying about it. For the past 2 days, I had been considering working with Jet Direct to obtain a principal reduction, whose rep mentioned that they were HUD affiliated. However, I cannot find their listing if they are. I certainly was not aware of up front fees, which at this time, I couldn't pay anyway. But I became a little suspicious as well when I saw the clusters of responses that were so glowing and positive, and all about the same representative, all on the same day. I am going the way of HUD approved agencies that my lender has listed on its website. Thank you for your postings. You have helped at least one person save money and avoided what may have been a disaster. Thanks guys! Keep posting.

I have been working with Jet Direct For over 4 months.  I am pleased to say they just got me a rate of 2%.  This rate is adjustable but I end at a rate of 4.5% which is 1.5% lower then the rate I have now.  I won't hit the 4.5% for 7 years.  I no longer have to worry about my house being forclosed on.  I tried to go directly to my bank and do the modification but it did not work.  I spend 1 year trying to go down that path and was left with nothing but frustration.  Jet Direct help my hand through the whole process giving me updates atleast once a week.  I normaly don't post anything on sites like this but I saw all the negative feedback and felt I had to tell my story.

Would this be conceder ad up front fee? I have this lender who wants to help me with a Principal Reduction Modification after sending him the necessary information he told me I qualified for the Principal Reduction Program so my first question was “what’s it going to cost me”?  He replied all we need from you is the cost of the appraisal ($350) and the cost of the attorney fee ($400) and after all the process is completed and you make your first new payment you will have to pay the company 3% of the amount by which your loan was reduced ($2300.00) and the company is willing to break this amount down into monthly payments for you. I would be saving about $70,000 over the life of the loan.
    Should I be afraid?

i paid these people up front also.  they make it very diffucult to get in contact with them and when you do they are rather rude. i've been waiting 5 months and still no results.  i just noticed also that all the good comments about them were sent on the same date.  may 14th.  coincidence?

Steve I suggest you lear how to become patient, I have been through what you are going through now and my best advice buddy is to give them time.I waited 10 months but I couldn';t be happier right now paying a 2% fixed rate for the next 24 years!!! Do not call them everyday and they will not be nasty it is common sense I wish I had aquired patience with them.

I AM IN THE EARLY STAGES (TWO PHONE CONVERSATIONS) WITH THESE PEOPLE. I AM VERY SKEPTICAL WITH "IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE" DEALS. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DECISION TO CONSIDER AND THE LAST THING I WANT TO DEAL WITH IS ROUGH OR HARSH OR ESPECIALLY RUDE. UP FRONT IS FINE, BUT SO IS PROFESSIONALISM. I WILL DO MY HOMEWORK HUGE BEFORE I COMMIT TO WHAT COULD BE A LIFE CHANGING DECISION.

If they keep changing the price, that is a problem.  I'd make them provide it in writing what fees they're going to charge.
