thanks TaxACT for SCREWING ME OVER

I e-filed for my first time this year, and I decided to use TaxACT online because a family member of mine had recommended it. The whole process was unusually simple and I received my confirmation emails that the IRS had received my return that day. Great!

Last week, a whole 4 MONTHS after the deadline, the IRS sent me a letter stating that I had never sent in my forms. I calmly called the TaxACT tech support line, where they told me if I wanted to know what went wrong with my filing I would have to pay to upgrade my membership. PAY AGAIN TO SEE WHAT THEY DID WRONG?!?!?!?! It is ridiculous and a scam, and I would hope that nobody would use their program ever again. I hope nobody else is put into my poor position now, thanks TaxACT for SCREWING ME OVER!

i have used tax act for three years & for the past 2 years i paid for the service. the reason i do is because i'm not good with computer, taxes, or the laws. i marked my real estate deduction down. then it ask me for a no. i skipped it. i didn't have a no. for real estate taxes. the reason i pay you is your alerts are suppose to catch flaws in my tax forms. i thought you would catch it if was wrong. even the free one do that. it took a matter of sec. for the state of il. to see the mistake. i filed an amended tax form. now 3 monthes later istill waite. i have them take out extra from
me, so come tax time i can clean up bills made in the rest of the year. i'm owed 390. needless to say i'm hurting and unable to clear up my year accumulation of bills. i just can't believe i'm in this mess.

I have used TaxAct for the 2nd year - WHAT A BIG MISTAKE - last year was fine with my deductions - this year no deductions -simple - I agree to pay $17.95 to file FEDERAL & my STATE of OHIO -Yes, I am a dope for the Federal is Free by the gov but afterward I found that I had somehow requested their "SPECIAL Package DEAL" -??!!! - I requested the Free Federal return! I could not back out.  One day later I get a return email that the IRS has rejected my return as the Date of Birth I entered on my return did not match - I didn't enter it, it was preloaded from the year before & it was correct.  I was informed that I had to call the Social Security Office, I spent my lunch time at work to find they have no problem with my date of birth.  Now TaxAct says I have to print my return and mail it in. GEE Thanks for the RIP OFF! AN, Oh, Sorry, we can  not refund your Payment as you have already printed your tax return!!!!!!

I have used tax act for a few years.  This year when I went to print it, it said their servicer for internet explorer wasn't responding.  I called them and they informed me I had to pay an additional $8 for help with their system.  I have to pay them to fix their problem.  I had already paid to prepare my taxes and now these idiots want me to pay them to fix their problem.  Yes, I know I repeated that more than one time, but how stupid do they think the consumer is?  Tomorrow it is time to call the Federal Trade Commission.

I used tax act last year very pleased, also used tax act this year very pleased with the service. What I'm not pleased about is the Endeavor Card or the Bancorp people and as a reflection that leads right back to tax act because they are associated with Tax-Act.I have a illness and I have a limited time left on this wonderful earth, but I don't have any insurance to pay for my blood work,my medicine and a few more vital things that I need in life all because the associates Tax-Act uses will not give me my IRS Refund.I was told to leave the Hospital Jan/28/2012 because of my insurance problems.I used Tax-Act to file my taxes this year, and was accepted by the IRS etc.....I had my card Expedited so I could buy me some insurance and get my medicine for my illness,it only suppose to take 2-3 business days it's been 2 weeks and no card. When I talk to Endeavor custom service they hang up on me and say it's Bancorp Fault. When I talk to Bancorp they say it's Tax-Act fault.I don't care who's at fault, where's my money I'm dieing and I need my medicine and my blood work by Fri which will be in 2 days.I NEED HELP IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME GET MY MONEY FROM THESE GUYS,GOD WILL BLESS YOU AND I WILL PRAY FOR YOU.A GMAIL I CAN BE REACH AT IS aawomble@gmail.com

I have the same situtaion. My return was suppose to be deposited today 2/15/12 as well as a friends. Neither of our money is in our accts!I have been using taxact for a long time and have never had this happen. When you call the IRS line they have NO information regarding our returns even though we received confirmation emails that the return was accepted by the IRS on 2/2/15. Please keep posted on your return.

On my 2010 return everything went fine until I received the letter from the IRS. After much investigation I found out TA had what they described as a "transmission error". How in the world can my return be transferred without all of the information. I asked what they were going to do to fix it and they refunded the cost of the service and basically told me I was on my own with the IRS. I have the emails to prove it. Never again will I use their service and am considering just doing it on paper this year.

I wrong click of a button as I am reviewing my return and suddenly I am paying for the Deluxe addition.  What, no second click confirmation?  They lost my business forever.  It's not the $10, it's the principal.  The are conniving

    PS
I used Tax Act this year because it says it is free for everyone but they charged me 9.95 for the service because I was over 59. Can you imagine that. Seniors are not considered everyone so they get charges. Somehow I think this is false advertising.I will not use tax act again.
