I have been trying for a month to get the contact information for the Legal Department for Bank of America.  The phone number, 415-622-9688, listed on their website is not a working number, the email contact daniel.weiss@bankofamerica.com is not a valid email address.  I contacted BOA tonight by phone and their chat link with out obtaining the contact information for the legal department for BOA.

    Marie Turk
    My name is Marie Turk and I am an 83 year old widower on a monthly fixed income. I drew up a dual power of attorney naming Eugene Prince and Arthur Givens as equals. When I gave a copy of said document to the Bank of America at 3801 Broadway, Sacramento, Ca 95817 i advised them that I need both of my sons as a check and balance one watching the other. Without my permission or knowledge B of A rewrote the power of attorney and changed if from a dual power of attorney to a sole power of attorney. The illegally removed Arthur Givens' as my power of attorney and refused to give him access to my account while they illegally gave Eugene Prince total access. The money in my account was for paying bills. For three months Eugene Prince took my money and bought crack cocaine and gave wild sex parties using my money. The document became invalid when bank employees changed it from a power of attorney i approved to one i did not. Will i have to get a lawyer and go to court ? Who is a good lawyer in Sacramento ?

      Dear Marie, if you get this reply, first of all, I am hoping that it is in the works & everything got solved. My mother had a mild stroke & is in Rehab. She also had dementia. My sister took my mother out for a couple of hours to go to Bank of America & manipulated my mother to make herself joint on my mother's bank accounts & also Power of Attorney. My father is still alive & alert. My sister is a Control Freak & wants Power & Money! I will post or mail you a copy of my post here. I noticed that Bank of America is careless when it comes to protecting their Elderly customers like you. I would never do that to my own parents! My father tried to suspersede Power of Attorney after we had meeting with the Admins & Social Services at the Rehab my mother is staying at, for her Physical Therapy. They found out my father was still alive & alert & why he wasn't Power of Attorney when he is VERY capable of being one. My brother & I can watch over him if we need to & we will NOT rip off my mother. If we need any financial help, "we will ask" & usually they help us. We are very appreciative & greatful for that. Anyway, the next day after the meeting w/Admins & Social Services, my sister rushed to the bank & wiped out ALL my mother's money & then texted my father & I that if we take Power of Attorney, she will have us arrested for fraudulent transactions! What fraudulent transactions? & that she is going to protect my mom? From what? She is full of "you know what"?! First of all, I do NOT care to be Power of Attorney & second, even if I were to be designated, she had NO right to threaten me or my father that way! She is the one who is doing fraudulent transactions by manipulating my mother by making herself joint & P.O.A on my mother's account when SHE KNEW she wasn't in her right mind! I would NEVER trick my mother that way! My father has bills to pay of my mother's! I am so upset how my sister treated me & how she always try to shift the blame on me or anyone for her wrongdoings & cuz she is embarrassed cuz she was found in the wrong! We are not talking! Not only is Bank of America careless in protecting their Elderly Customers, but they are also HOME WRECKERS OR FAMILY WRECKERS! Bank of America needs MAJOR improvement in protecting their Elderly Customers instead of letting those manipulating family members get away with it & then decide after-the-fact to report Elder Abuse& after finding out from the Elderly customer that they didn't want their oldest daughter joint So much for Elder Abuse which is practically USELESS! Cuz my sister is enjoying her power & my mom's money!!

    If you call (704) 386-5681, they will provide contact information (addresses only) for B of A's legal representatives in each state.  For the two states that I inquired after, the company's name is CT Corporation Systems.  It's a start!  Hope that helps.

      Hello;
      Just as an explanation: CT Corporation is not an "arm" of BoA in any way. It is simply an entity which forms corporations in each state for corporations (such as BoA), or acts as the "registered agent" for BoA. A registered agent does nothing except forward mail on to its client (BoA in this case). Registered agents are used by plaintiffs in order to institute lawsuits when the actual corporate defendant cannot be served because they are hiding. Just another typical BoA method of operation.
      It is really difficult to believe BoA can conduct its operations in this shady manner, and that people keep entrusting them with their funds.

    After the death of my former wife, who was a V.P. with Bank of America, I was notified of the existence of a 401 K plan, and an amount of pension money held by Bank of America.
    The question is, Why did it take the Bank of America almost 10 years before giving notice to the heirs of the existence of these funds????

      Dear Connelly,
      First of all, I am sorry for your loss. As this bank does NOT know how to protect their Elderly Customers' Bank Accounts after their accounts have been completely wiped out, they lack communication in notifying you folks of money due to you! (esp when you can use it during these hard economic times!) I am sorry to hear that!  I PRAY for you "good health" & "financial blessings!" I hope something will make up for it! You don't deserve such treatment!

      Because they are corrupt and most likely they only did so after an audit forced them to notify you

    Be very careful if you are trying to get a home loan modification from Bank of America. I have been tryiing for about a year now. They use every excuse and trick in the book to get you to drop your request and just give-up. They will ask for more and more paperwork, and even time-out other valid paperwork. They act as more of an enemy than your "bank." Also, I discovered that my bank lost the "link" that did not allow for charges on my accounts, and they were taking money out of my accounts every month for two years. If you has any disabilities, are legally blind, elderly, or even a very busy person you must WATCH your money with Bank of America and pray that you can get any of it back if you try! They may be keeping more than your "change!"

      Yes BOA is very corrupt and continues to be so. They are the best at avoiding legitimate answers and will not give out any email contacts so you can get something in writing. They will call you, every once in ahile, if you keep after them but they all say that the company has no email adresses. Could that be correct in this time of eletronic messaging?  Most likely not.
      Try to get them to send you anything in writing. Good Luck. I have been trying to help a widow for almost a year,. She has been trying to get modification the bank notified her they were required to make after her husbands passing.
      They lose paper work you send them, they say it is not complete. they say no deathe certificate after she has faxed 4 times and mailed 3 times. Then we talk to a supervisor and he says it is in their computer sysytem and has been for some time.
      record phone conversations eah time you talk with them. Most smart phones are now equipped with this feature. Copy all documents before sending and always send registered mail .then you have some evidence with which to sue BOA

    BOA=Bunch of Aliens
    Six months ago, I began the process of doing a boundary line adjustment.  1 lot I own and the 2nd has a a house and a mortgage with BOA.  I was told to get an a certified land surveyor to change the boundary line and an appraisal on the house to determine if adjusting the boundary line would lower the value of the house. And as long as the amount was not lower than what I owed on the house.it would be fine to do a boundary line adjustment.

    I was suppose to close 3 months ago but couldn't because the county said that I needed permission from BOA or a signature on the new plat stating that they approve the new boundary line adjustment.

    I called BOA and was told that they don't give letters or sign plats, to go ahead and do the boundary line adjustment and that the county will notify them when it's done for tax purposes.  The county will NOT accept this as a way to register the new property line.

    I have called a lot of departments, waited on hold and then be sent to other numbers,  I was told to call the legal department and or the boundary line adjustment section.  No one has the right number!!  I even went in to a local BOA office to get some help.  The manager said she couldn't sign my plat.

    I have lost my cash buyer for the lot and all of the other buyers are waiting like vultures for me to cave in so that they can get it for a steal.

    How can I legally do anything when no one in BOA knows how to get me to the right office?  Are their any attorneys in the Hampton Roads Area of VA who can help?!!!

    It seems like BOA would want to help their clients.  I am a Human Being not an alien!!! I will be so glad when they stop treating me like one.

    No Help from BOA

    I have tried in vain to do the right thing by refinancing my house over a year ago.  I submitted my papers several times and every time I call, I receive a new case worker.  I've had at least 6.  At the bottom of every letter, it states to contact the persons manager if you have a problem or issue.  It also state that that manager will return your call within 1 business day.  It never happens.,  Over a 10 month period, I have faxed, mailed and emailed my documents to them and the very last straw was when I was told that I sent to the papers to the wrong office.  I asked the representative, "HOW COULD I HAVE SENT THE PAPERS TO THE WRONG OFFICE???, THE NUMBERS AND ADDRESS WAS GIVEN BY BOA!!"

    How can we as a group get together and sue BOA for bad business practices?  They are not here to help anyone!!!

      I contacted my California  State Representative, and I'm in the process of also contacting my state senator Diane Feinstein.
      I have a permanent loan modification contract with Bank of America, however, Bank of America is still sending statements requesting payment of my prior loan.  They tell me to ignore it, and they will correct it in time but I'm not buying it.  Unless they put it in writing that they are advising me not to pay the old payment.  They refused to do this.  FYI its not advisable to sue as a group, because a recent lawsuit against BofA was dismissed on grounds that the claims were to varied (requests for loan modification were in different stages) so it couldn't be listed as a class action.  Best thing is to notify your representatives of Bank of Americas intentionally giving misleading information when processing loan modifications.

    I placed a stop payment on a check to a charity that was lost. I gave Bank of America the correct check number, date of the check and name of payee as well as the exact amount. I received the notice that the stop payment was placed. I then wrote another check to the same payee and amount only with a different check number and date. I received a notice that Bank of America returned my replacement check because of the similarity. They had no right to do this causing me much embarrassment .

    Sent a 93A for unfair and deceptive practices. Signed and certified to legal, home refi, etc. they have my social wrong since they bought out Country Wide and they changed the terms of my loan. Rudest people ever. Hang up on me. I have never even raised my voice. I sent certified copies to BBB, President of U.S. and many senators. Never answered the complaint. Keep saying paperwork never got there nor faxes. See them in court soon. I have every certified and return receipt. FedEx signed etc. Good job bailing them out to ruin people's lives. Class action suit out there too.

    BOA deducted a tax lien from not one, but two, of my accounts. The lien has been satisfied. I was told by the credit collector agency to call BOA legal to rectify this major error. The credit agency stated that they could not deduct the same amount from two accounts, and that the Bank was responsible. I have tried calling the branch multiple times, no answer. My husband is currently en route to the bank to speak with a manager. After this is resolved to our satisfaction, how fast do you think we will change banks?!
