Received email advising subscription of some sort would renew 12/15; however funds apparently already been taken out of acct as of 12/10. Odd thing is, this is supposedly an "auto renewal" from last year (?) but we haven't been using Avast for a long time - we haven't had the application installed on the laptop until recently when we gave it another chance in demo mode around Oct or Nov 2014. Odd that this would come up now.

I saw many people were scamed by Nexwaysoftware...will see how this plays out.

I just received a charge for 39.99 from avast-nexway san franciscoca for something I did not order, do not want, and am requesting that you return to the credit card company to which it was billed.  If there is any service you are providing without notifying me first, please remove it. This appears to be very bad business practice on your part.

Absolutely disgusted to find my bank account has been reduced by $49.95 plus currency conversion fee under the name of Avast-Nexway. Because we have previously purchased an anti virus program from Avast, my bank does not consider this as fraud, possibly a "disputed payment" and for them to investigate, they say it is likely I will have to pay $10.50 for this!!!! I am an aged pensioner  who can not afford to lose $65.00 and have also had to close my bank account to prevent any further withdrawals....I can only assume they got my bank details from Avast. Totally disgusted not only with Avast, but also my bank for their attitude. I have found an email address for this company in France but don't hold any hope to have my funds returned......Avast & Avast-Nexway.....you should be totally ashamed of illegally taking funds from an old aged pensioner.

on 1 April 2015 a posting hit my credit card for 64.99.  I purchased a 2 year, 3 computer avast antivirus on 19 January 2014 and my subscription is good until 2016, I shouldn't be charge nor do I authorize reoccurring charges.  This is an outrage.  I already contacted my credit card not to pay them.

I just got a charge on my credit card from Avast for 49.99, plus a Foreign Transaction fee of $1.49.
Last year the fee was 39.99 and no Foreign Transaction Fee !
I called my credit card company they informed me the billing is from FRANCE !!
This current charge was not authorized be me.
    I will call them !

I did not authorize any payment to Avast despite repeated reminders that I needed to.   Suddenly there is an unauthorised
debit to my credit card of about $30 which I suspect is a different company or a scam.

same problems. doesn't answer phone. reported to San Francisco BBB of problem. I was charged 54.99 + 1.65 for an International fee for Avast that I was ordering online. Received invoice, tried e-mail, certified mail that is being returned & am wondering if I will get any of this back. The support number I was given for technical issues connects to Avast & they do not have the purchase on file. Avast also charged & hopefully they are in the process of cancelling their charges! Will try contacting Visa, otherwise I am out the $ & will never order online anything again. Over $100 for this lesson!!

    not happy.
Have been charged $29.99 in August and then $49.99 in October. Plus foreign fee. If I get no reply from Avast, will not be dealing with this company again. Also will have to cancel credit card  to stop automatic debit deductions that are not authorized.

I was charged 59.99 for anti virus . They renewed it via an old email address that was no longer active. I disputed the charge with american express for 6 months and ended up having to pay the charge. I canceled the card so they could not recharge again. Sad!

Contacted Reimage and agreed to download the software. On the same site was asked to ring an 0800 number to validate it. Was actually speaking to Nexway who offered me a lifetime deal on security for £299. They had access to my laptop and I authorised payment of that amount but further In the discussions become suspicious and stopped the conversation saying I did not wish to proceed. Reimage cancelled the original charge of £28.95 but disclaimed all knowledge of Nexway . I am still waiting to be contacted by Nexway,
