A man called me, he's telling that he works in mobily and surprising me that I have won of 200,000.00 sr in mobily promo with a join force of MOBILY, STC, ZAIN, AND ETISALAT FROM DUBAI RAFFLE PROMO , I was been selected. And he send me an e-portal message in my mobily number using a mobily service also. But, I can receive only my prize if I will send him a 1,300 sr cash or a load card of zain, mobily and stc worth 1,300 and send him the activation number of that load card to them thats the time he will send me the check number which worth of 200,000.00 then I can go to any bank for claiming my prize amount. Unbelievable, because is their a raffle promo from mobily that asking a money first to receive your prize? Then I try to call him back the number he uses to call me but it is already off. It seems there's a lot of modus operandi which uses the telecomunications company to hook some people for taking cash. It is a GANG. Pls advise if this kind of raffle promo is true? I have a doubt! That is the mobily number above he use to call me, pls try to retrieve it so you can do something to catch them. And if possible their will be no other people which they can make again like this kind of criminal act which I experienced to them in the future. TY!

I just now received a call from 0537869796 telling me with the same story or modus. Telling.me that they are from stc. What made me almost convince was he sent me a message from STC itself containing 6 digits the pin according to him can use it upon claiming my 200,000sr from alrajhi. That. Fortunately while i was waiting for my husband i search the modus complain from enternet. Alhamdulillah! But what bother me most is that message sent by STC itself containing pin, does it mean STC employee was the one responsible for this scam?

          Assalamu alaikom sister. I
Too have the same story, Alhamdulillah my feelings have doubt.
I would never forget when I call to STC inquiring why every time I recharged 5 sr is being deducted, then the employee asked my iqama id number and I drop the call. I would never forget his voice. These scammers when they first call me the voice of the man I've talked on STC is as same as the voice of this scammer  Wallahi

Just now, i experienced the same as Richard and Shazny's complaint above.. Can STC check this number to whom i received a call telling he is Mr. Ali of STC #0558981354. When i received the call from this guy who ask me to check the 1st 6 digits of my sim card if it is 899660, i hurriedly checked and confirm it to him and then he asks me to keep my phone open for at least 10 minutes. He again comes back to me asking my iqama #, and with no hesitation I dictated my iqama #.  I'm already shaking, my whole body is shaking, because I can't imagine how that big amount (SR 200,000) came to me in just a blink of an eye.... Now he is asking for my Bank Account, now, with hesitation, i consult first with my office mate who immediately checked with STC website if there is really a promo of this kind, and found out to be bogus... I thought this scam happened only in our country, the Philippines, but I'm wrong, it's also in here...happening in Saudi Arabia. I almost got caught of this scam, so others beware, there are many evil out there trying to lure innocent people....STC should be very tough if they caught all these racketeers....Thank you....Raul

I experienced the exact same thing as you. But, I didn't send any of my personal data because I'd been so suspicious at the first time he told me I won a 200k. Thanks guys for sharing this info. If you are an STC customer, you may report this fraud to 800825.

The same thing happened with my mom just now. The person asked her to disclose her iqama number and account number, but I kept screaming from the back that he is a fraudulent person. So my mom didn't give the account number. He even tried to prove that he is right by sending her a long number which matched the number on the back of her sim. Then he told her to purchase 5 cards of 300 riyals from STC. Thank God, we sensed that it was fishy and cut the line. I'm going to go and report these men to STC.

Same story as above, indeed one man with the name Abdul Islam Khalid, claiming I had won 200 kSr, only I need to transfer 1.80% commission fee thru Western Union to STC Finance Manager in Dubai. So he was asking to pay 3,600 SAR via W/U before I would get the 200 kSR.
Surprisingly, he had access to all my details at STC (current credit, sim card#, SMS history) which he shared with me. Since I am not living in KSA, he had to find an alternative way to scam me off.
Finally, hung up the phone and will not converse any longer with this person.
Wish these guys would not roam around on the net. Any how people got caught on their scams altogether?!
