Country: United States
On 29AUG2007, I received a call on my personal cell phone from a man asking for me by my first and last name. He said where he was from (E-Tour & Travel in Florida). I asked him how he got my cell phone number, and he tried to tell me that I registered to win a free trip on their website. I immediately stopped him and said that I have NEVER been to that website, and did NOT register for anything. I told him to remove me from the list and hung up.

The number on my caller ID was 866-310-6877

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!! AFTER ENDLESS PHONE CALLS TELLING THEM I WILL NOT BE USING THEIR SERVICES DUE TO FINANCIAL REASONS (I HAD PUT DOWN $100 DEPOSIT AND THINGS NOW HAVE CHANGED WITH MY MONEY SITUATION) THEY KEEP RINGING ME. I HAVE TOLD AT LEAST 12 DIFFERENT PEOPLE THEY CAN KEEP THE $100 - I DO CARE ABOUT THE MONEY BUT I JUST WANT THEM TO STOP CALLING ME MORE. THE CREDIT CARD THEY HAVE IS NOT VALID ANYMORE SO I KNOW THEY CAN'T GET ANYMORE MONEY OUT OF ME...WHEN I PUT THE DEPOSIT DOWN SHE DID ASK FOR MY VISA NUMBER 5 TIMES - WHICH IS WHEN I FIRST REALIZED THEY WERE A SCAM. THEY ARE FRUSTRATING, THEY KEEP LEAVING VOICE MESSAGES AND NOW MY ONLY OPTION IS TO CHANGE MY PHONE NUMBER. DON'T GET FOOLED BY THE NICE GIRL WHO SEEMS SO HONEST AND FRIENDLY ON THE PHONE.... I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD GET FOOLED BY SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

Megs' the best thing to do is to call them again and say law suit. I used to work for eTour and Travel the reason they keep calling is because the Telamarkets don't click on the "don't not call" button when they get off the phone with you. A screen pops up after you hang up, but the always push call back. I know this because i have seen co-workers doing it daily throughout the shift. I couldn't do it, it felt wrong to call someone back when they have ask not to be. But i have seen it, but there is a "don't call back" button they need to push if you say not to. I am sorry for what is happening to you or was happening to you. I hope this could help just a little bit at least, it is the least i could do for being a part of that place.

I took the trip to Florida with e tour and was very disappointed. They put us up in the worst hotel in Orlando. Now I keep receiving there calls about every 3 months. I have ask them not to call, as I was very diappointed with the first trip, but just like everyone else they keep phoning. Next time they call I am going to ask to speak to the manager, and get an air  horn and ring it in his ear.

Im very concerned about this company. My brother recently got contacted by them and merged the phone call so I could hear what this guy was talking about. I asked the guy how he got my brothers info and he said he filled it out online..the guy proceeded to tell me my brothers full name and addresss. I had to inform the guy that my brother does not own a cpu and gets on my moms rarely. My brother also told him he NEVER filled anything out online. While we were on the phone I looked the company up to see if it was legit. And thankfully I saw this site because it reassured me that this could in fact be a scam.I told the guy that he needs to take my brother off of his call list and he said alright and hung up.Its sad because who wouldnt want that great deal and a vacation. But nobody wants to be scammed during these hard times either.

I have been called by this company three times a day for the last three days. They've been calling my cell phone. I finally answered today and the person on the other line asked for me by my first name. I asked what this was regarding and he said that I had registered for a free Universal Studios Ticket and that I should grab some paper and pen so that I could now redeem it. I told him I never registered for this, and he told me that I probably forgot that I did so. That's when I knew that something was up. I told him I thought he was running a scam and he got defensive and said that he would give me the address to their website which is government sponsored (what?). I told him I still didn't believe him and was about to tell him not to call anymore when he said that I was "plain [***]." If this company really was on the up and up, I don't think a customer representative would call a potential customer [***]. I called him an [***] and hung up. In Canada, incoming calls cannot be blocked on cellphones. So I don't know if this company will keep calling. Probably I will ask them to stop calling, and failing that, just ignore them until they stop.

I am a little confused here. I think some of you are leaving out important details. I was told by my rep that I would have to attend a 120 minute presentation in exchange for the vacation accommodations, would get two theme park tickets, get to stay in Doubletree by Hilton, and an coupon for up to a hundred bucks of my airfare if I want to fly, I can take 3 others with me, and to top it off, they threw in a week's worth of care rental. It was clear in the details that i would be responsible for my own taxes and meals. For that pittance of a price I paid, I thought it was more than worth it. We had an awesome time. Other people paid over 200 a night at that hotel. And they paid for theme park tickets. Car rentals. I paid that three hundred and eight-nine plus taxes and tips, food, bar tabs, souvenirs, gas for the rental car.

I forgot to mention that we didn't buy the timeshare. And we still had a great time.
