My company keeps our business bank account with Union Bank here in California, and this morning (Feb 2, 2012) a fraudulent charge appeared with the merchant charge string: Digital St 372 OLD STREET +442081237377 GB.  A phone number search points back to this website of course and "Digital Star".  I have reported it to the bank and they indicate that it was a debit transaction overseas, yet the only debit card for this account is still in our possession.  We have never purchased anything with this account overseas so we have to assume fraud.  The bank has cancelled our company debit card and is reissuing a new one and is launching an investigation.  Thought I would post this new info in the event it helps to trace the source of the card info theft that apparently has occurred.

My experience is the same as above. My wife checked the account on Feb. 2nd and saw a "Digital star" charge for $74.95 dated Feb. 3rd. We discussed it on the night of the second and immediately called the bank's 24 hour hot line. The bank rep. told me to cut-up the card and she would freeze the account. Went to the bank the next day and they told me they couldn't do anything until the transaction was posted? Today Feb. 4th we noticed another charge for international fees $2.95. So much for the account being frozen!

My $74.95 charge occurred on 29 Jan 2012 and I just noticed it today (5 Feb).  I am calling my credit card company.  Obviously, some business with whom I have transacted an online purchase has had their servers hacked and our credit/debit card information stolen, which is now being used to steal money.

Got the same charge, same numbers. Googled Digital Star.    D----.com comes up no good. There is a Dig----/au.   That brings up a computer outfit in Sydney Australia, thus the 'au'.  Bank stopped the card and reversed the charge. A scam.

Just got charged $74.95 today with a $2.24 foreign transaction fee with it and I bought something from Amazon.com recently.  Bank is investigating.  I'm sure charge will be reversed.

Same thing here. I just got a call from my creditcard company about Digital Star transaction on my account for an amount around 75$ and it seems that I'm not alone because they said they had to call many customers today for the same fraud.

I did not made any transaction with amazon but I did some, like one of them in California. Other transactions are in Canada. So it's seem that they do fraud everywhere, not only in one country. Hope they will find these guys!

I had to destroy my card and they will send me another one but I don't feel safe because not only they have my credit cart number but they also have ( probably ) all the informations that comes with it, as my name and adress...so if they can do fraud, I guess they can also make research with my name and adress and get another credit card number as soon as I will make any transaction on the internet...

I will stop for a long time to make sure...
