My husband has bought Thom McCan shoes for years and loved them.
3-28-08 he purchased a pair that lasted a few months
5-23-08 he purchased a pair that lasted 3 months same thing the sole came loose. Thinking just a defect in this style on 8-6-08 he decided to purchase a differant style these also fell apart. What is up with that?

I have purchased Thom McCan Footwear for Today's Woman for several years.  I buy them because (after 3 ankle surgeries) I must wear low heels.  I had always enjoyed wearing TM's and I often buy several of the same shoes because I need to have shoes that I can wear (without problems)readily available.

This morning, I took a new pair of black leather clogs (id# 21228 F00)out of the box, wore them to work, and almost fell because the heel of my right shoe came completely off (it looked like someone had taken an ax and chopped the soles of my shoes to pieces ... that's right ...BOTH of them;  the left sole is still holding on, in 3 places, because of the glue).

Unfortunately, I can't find the receipt; so, I can't even return them to the K-Mart where I purchased them.  Believe me .... this is a lesson learned!! At least Mr. Thomas got a few months wear out of his ... I only wore mine for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

I have bought 6 pairs of Thom Mc Can shoes over the past 2 years because the are the only shoes that do not hurt my feet. If I get 3 months wear before the soles come loose from the top, I am lucky. I then get another couple of months wear by glueing them back on with a industrial trim glue. K MART in LaCrosse has now stopped selling them.

I recently bought my husband a new pair of thom mcan shoes from k mart. This proved to be a bad mistake. The soles completely came off the shoes only 2 months after purchasing them.  I will not only never buy that brand of shoes again, but I will make sure everyone I know will not buy them either! I will also do my best to get my money back.

I too have purchased 2 pair of Tom MCan from Kmart,   and they too fell apart at the soles after less than one month....

I too will never buy these again,  and I will also let people know when I see them in K-Mart looking at the shoes NOT to purchase Tom Mcan shoes and what happened to mine and others that I read about..

And the sad thing Tom Mcan will not do anything about the loss of 80.00 in two months time..  Sad day for Mr. Mcan...

I might as well add to this list.  The pair I bought said leather and man made uppers-the man made part separated between the vinyl covering and the material attached to the sole.  If I even look at water, my feet are wet!
Also have no receipt so I cannot return them.

I puchased a pair of Thom McAn dress shoes,  that I rarely wear. I recently put them on  & that evening I noticed the sole was falling apart in the area of the ball of my foot.  I took them to a Cobbler to resole them & he said the were Manufacture Defective & to contact the Maker.   I have been hit with stone walls trying to make contact.

Thom McCan shoe stores were at many shopping centers years ago.  They once had a guarantee that if the sole wore out before the tops did they would replace the shoes.  I had at least two free pairs of their shoes.  I guess they don't have that anymore.  Got some about three years ago and the shoes held up fine.

I have several T.Mcan shoes. The Oxford type in black, I find them to be the best comfortable shoe, they are worn every day. I would like to see them make the same shoe on the same "last" with the same sole & heel.

I, too, bought Thom McCan shoes that fell apart even before I had a chance to remove the price tag. Having passed the 90-day warranty period, KMart's "Customer Service" refused to do anything about this shoddy product.
I plan to send them to their main office:  KMart Corp. Corporate Office Headquarters, 3333 Beverly Road, Hoffman Estates, Illinois 60179, to the attention of Louis D-Ambrosio.  Phone: 847-286-2500  (GOOD LUCK)

Purchased Thom McAn black oxford dress shoes from Kmart.com at the end of March 2013 and just 5 weeks later, noticed that the sole of one shoe had completely split apart along the entire width of the shoe, as if it was perforated. The shoes were only worn to work and got minimal use since I work in an office, not to mention I was on vacation for 1-1/2 weeks during this time, so in total they got about 4 weeks of wear. As far as I am concerned, these shoes were a joke.
