I receive at least 2 calls per day from this business.  Today, I continued with the phone call instead of hanging up.  I asked the gentleman where he was calling from (Atlanta, GA) and what was the name of the company that he receives his paycheck from -  he said Card Member Services.  I told him that I have asked repeatedly to be removed from their calling list and that I wanted it to stop RIGHT NOW.  He then told me he would [***] call me anytime he wanted  -  that I was to give him a [***] - - [***] you - [***] you -  give me a [***] - - - This just kept continuing so I finally hung up.  The phone number that was displayed on my cell phone was:  319-212-1302.  This is a local cell phone number when it shows 319 and 212 in the number.  So in my opinion, the call is being routed so that it can't be traced backward.  The experience I had this morning with this company was just AWFUL -  abusive, dirty mouthed..........This business needs to be shut down !!

    "Lower your interest rates" scam..
These telemarketing scams, typically charge around $1000 in "fees", promising to "lower your interest rates", and claiming to be "working with your bank" or "with VISA and MasterCard", etc. After getting a card number to charge, they try to run out the 60 day bank charge dispute period with promises or threats, after which your bank can no longer just reverse the charge. They typically run their calls through overseas phone systems and spoof caller id numbers to hide from Do Not Call lawsuits.

Note how easily he switched to abuse..
Phone scams depend not only on deception to get your money, but intimidation to delay you from taking the only step that gets your money back, filing a fraud dispute with your bank.  They're looking for suckers to con, but in particular, for people who can be intimidated so they can keep the money, since the amount they're after is not trivial.  That depends on intimidation, combined with hiding their location and identity.

I have received calls regularly from this organized scamming to eliminate debt on my visa and mc - Card Member Services.  I usually hang up and block the number, but this time I stayed on the line and drilled the guy with questions. The number displayed appears as a  local number 970-379-2751.  The guy states that I can reduce my interest rate to 10%  because of my good payment history and  a violation of the Fair Credit Act.    When I questioned if this was a US company, he stated they have offices in Atlanta & Dallas (he speaks broken English). When I asked how he could possibly have access to both my banks/credit cards, he states that Card Member Services is the company who sends my statements for both of my credit cards.  I stated this sounds like a scam, I want removed from their phone scam list and I will report this number.  He threatened to close both of my credit card accounts. I again said I am reporting this and he says " you can't do anything you ass-hole" and I am closing both of your accounts.  It looks like this scam has continued for years, even though it is constantly reported.  WHY?

I get their calls every day!!!!!! I've asked to be removed dozens of times. Hit the do not call back button to no avail!!!!!
I talked 2 times with them & the first time the guy told me if I pay $1000 I could be removed.
Today the elderly woman ignored me telling her I did not want to be called and asked if I was affected by the hurricane.
    What dirt bags.

Also sick of these calls! Have pressed two to be removed numerous times, and spoken with someone to be removed from their list. Received another call today and asked the company name, employee name, badge #, phone number, etc. Was told I’d have to pay to be removed from their list! And when I asked for his personal cell number to call him back whenever I felt like it he told me “shut up you fY€£!ng douche bag”

Also, the 1-800- number her provided me to call back was for a sex phone line.

    Beyond frustrating

I have called the actual Card Member Services to inform them that his scam is going on several times in the past 3 years. There seems to be a lack of ability to shut these foreign scammers down.  I have even contacted AT&T to shut down these Scammers down. I have contacted the consumer fraud unit at the FTC Federal Trade Commission about shutting these scammers down. Seems that the overseas operation is untouchable.

I get phone calls from "Card Member Services" every single day, sometimes two or three times.  The calls are masked as it appears with a local number (and actually, a cell phone number) or, today, it displayed MY phone number on the caller ID.  When you pick up the phone it is an automated message saying they can lower your interest rate.  I work from my home and I find these calls harassing and disturbing to my home work environment.  I've attempted to block them from my phone, but an hour later I'll receive another call from them on another number.

Today, I waited for a representative.  I asked what the company name was and where they were located and the response was that they are in Atlanta, GA.  The agent talked over top of me asking if I'm being reported for bad credit because I've missed a couple of credit card payments or perhaps just late on a payment or two.  I told him I don't owe a penny to anyone and then began explaining how I receive these calls constantly, and although I had a big long explanation to give him, he just hung up on me.

I got on the internet just to find my exact same story over and over.  Evidently there's not much one can do.

They call my business 10 times per day, they call in on 714-599-3282 and it's all a scam, they are Member services, in Atlanta. They won't stop calling regardless of who we speak with.

I received a call from Card Member Services and it was a local number, so I asked him if they are located in Las Cruces, NM.  haha NOT!!! I told him I have no credit cards so why would you call me?  Then I asked what his company was and where they are located and he told me Card Member Services and Card Services and that they are locate in Atlanta, GA, so I asked for their phone number so I could report this call! Of course they have no call back number, so I told him that was interesting and he hung up on me.  Hopefully they don't call again!  I'm sick of this fraud callers.  There has to be something done about it!  Now that they are stealing other phone numbers in the area you live to get you to answer the call, it even worse.

I get calls at least twice a week. Normally, I punch through to talk to the representative and ask them if they have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. They are persistent, but I will continue to ask that question.

I just received a call from 7329750493- the guy said his name is Tim Dyson and was calling about card member services. When I asked to put me on DNL - he asked why and I said you should respect to put my number in DNL. He started to curse at me. Asked for manager and he said he is the manager. Didn't FTC shut down these type of calls?

This company calls me constantly.  I have started to record the calls and would like to know where to file complaints.  The last caller said his name is James Anderson from Card Member Services representing Wells Fargo and 90 other banks.  He was located in Atlanta Georgia.  I have previously been asked what I would charge for sexual acts when I told the person to stop calling me.  I am almost 70 years old and these calls are creating major stress for me.  Is there somewhere that I can file a sexual harrassment complaint or keep these people from doing this?

I tried to get a direct phone number for this company so that I could file a report but they refused to give me one. The girl gave me some excuse as to why they didn't have a direct line in... Has anyone been successful in getting a phone number for Card Member Services so that we can file a complaint?
