They are using the name "Jill Pardington" now as your "gift coordinator." The fine print says "guests will be responsible for any deposits, fees, and taxes," which is strange considering this is supposed to be a complimentary trip. However, the fine print also says this is a 90-120-minute timeshare pitch, apparently by Kings Creek, http://www.kingscreekplantation.com. I consider timeshares to be scams, though, since they are a huge ripoff with their annual fees etc.

I received a letter titled "Visit St. George" with the same kind of offer, free lodging, gift cards, a local address that is real - 405 E 12450 S Bldg 2 Suite K.  The address was also linked to a website "greatresortvacations.com".  Their website said "Great Resort Vacations is a distributor for RSI Vacations."  RSI Vacations has 9 years in business with 300,00 private members. aka Reservation Services Group, LLC & RSIAA Affinity, LLC, 2800 Heart Dr. Asheville, NC 28806-0267 http://www.rsiVacations.com.  And RSI Vacations website says "RSI Vacations is a Business to Business (B2B) provider of private-branded leisure lifestyle and travel benefits programs. Success depends upon creating a positive link between people and your business."

Funny thing is, I DID go to St. George recently on a trip.  The letter said they wanted us back.  How did they know I'd gone and get my address?  Did the place we stayed or the reservation provider for them scoop and sell our name without permission?  I'm sure someone in the reservation chain did!  This is speculation, but I don't think it's at all far fetched, I think people within companies or companies themselves make illegal side deals all the time to sell the names of people that use their services.  Unfortunately it's the world we live in.

I received this letter from Visit St. George signed by Jeremy Jones, promotional coordinator, prompting me to call 8002458993 for a free 3 day vacation for 4 and $150 in reimbursements for spending and a $50 restaurant gift card. The fine print says attendance at an open house presentation is required, but doesn't say what it is for! A very convincing scam letter.

Received a letter from "Visit Catalina" for a complimentary Catalina Vacation of 3 days and 2 nights hotel plus round trip boat transportation plus a $25 Darden Gift Card.  It is from Jeremy Jones with an address in Laguna Hills, California!  This guys gets around!  The same phone number 800-245-8993 but it doesn't mention anything about a timeshare presentation but does require an open house presentation.....scam!

I received the very same letter a few days ago.  Strange thing is that we just got back from Catalina in April so I thought it may somehow be related to our stay at Hamilton Cove.  I haven't called the number yet and this site was a result of some digging around.  I have once before many years ago received a 3 day trip to Catalina from a timeshare presentation which worked out.  Here I was all excited for another free trip.

Received a letter from “Visit Key West” about a complimentary trip to key west or key largo and a gift card to Darden restaurants. I entered a real promotion recently and at first glance thought this was the real deal. Unfortunate after examining logo, checking the address and Googling the phone number I realize it’s a scam.
