I responded to a craigs list listing regarding the Keystone Outback 210RS.  She almost got me too!  But the suspicious statement that Ebay would be doing the delivery made me uncomfortable, so I called ebay.  They do not deliver!  How on earth do these people get away with this crap?!

This is why you never send money for a vehicle you cannot see in person. If they mention eBay or Amazon, or a "shipper"... they are scammers!

They get away with it because they are in foreign countries where US law can't touch them.  They usually have "mules" in the US who collect the money and forward it to the scammers.
The RV scam targets seniors and retirees who are not as web-savvy as most younger people.

My husband almost fell for the (karen79@cableshentel.net) Polaris ad. He had asked them for info about the atv and when they responded with such a sob story we knew it was a scam:
Sobbing here>>>>((I'm asking $1500 for the Polaris. You might be inclined to think that there are issues with it, but that's not the case. The truth is that my husband died two months ago - he had a stroke while he was gardening in the backyard. Determined to start a new life, I sold the house and moved to my sister's in Iowa. Only 3,400 miles recent service completed in excellent condition. The title is clear and in my name.))

Thanks for confirming it is a scam, for some reason as soon has he ask them about setting up a meeting the add disappeared.

Rec'd call from 206-745-9244, caller called stated my name and address, and verified it was correct. Posted as King County Sheriff, advised I failed to appear to jury duty, asked why, and I responded that I never received a notice to appear. I asked him to repeat his name and address of his office, and googled it to see what appeared (Sheriff's office), and requested his badge#.  Again, he asked why i did not appear in court, and I advised again, didn't recieve the notice. He said it was mailed to my address in May. I advised it was never received, but that my husband is an attorney near the Sheriff's office, and I would have loved to serve jury duty, had I actually receive a notice, and requested a new one. Call disconnected. I called Sheriff's office, and they confirmed it was a scam. Reported it the caller to Western WA Courts.
