WARNING - WARNING - WARNING

DO NOT BUY AN APEX TV SET.  THEY ARE JUNK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT IF IT BREAKS.

I bought an APEX 40" 1080p LED TV Set for our dad on Fathers Day 2011 and in just 3 months the speaker blew out.  I contacted the Target store I bought it from and they referred me to APEX.  I have submitted to APEX my receipt as proof of purchase and have patiently waiting 3 months to have this BS taken care of.  I have contacted APEX so called "customer support" - some dude in India - 12 TIMES OVER 3 MONTHS.  They tell you the same damn thing everytime "I am really sorry to hear about the problem sir.  Someone will call you back in 3-4 days."  NOBODY EVER CALLS YOU BACK.

I have verified with them my phone number 12 times.  I have left message for the supervisor.  I have tried over and over and over just to get this brand new TV Set to work and APEX has given me the run around time after time after time.

SO LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT BUYING ANYTHING WITH THE NAME APEX ON IT - DO NOT DO IT.  IF YOU BRAND NEW TV BREAKS, YOU WILL BE OUT IN THE COLD ON YOUR OWN TRYING TO FIX IT.  APEX WILL NOT DO A THING TO HELP YOU AND IN FACT THEY WILL SIMPLY LIE TO YOU CONTINUESLY SO YOU GIVE UP.  THE ONLY WAY TO GET EVEN WITH THEM IS TO TELL OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT THE PROBLEM SO THEY DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.  THEN, HOPEFULLY, CRAP COMPANIES LIKE THIS WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS.

    Dave,

Its my understanding that TMAX just recently started manufacturing products with the APEX name. Prior to TMAX, KCPI manufactured products with the APEX name.

KCPI is no longer license to manufacture APEX Digital products, but they assume responsibilities for the units they manufactured. Therefore, contact KCPI for assistance. Below is their contact information, they should be able to assist you.

    C/S Phone support- (888)777-0450
    Email- CS@KCPI.US

2 nights ago my LD 4688 Apex 46" Tv crashed to the floor @ 11:30 pm. The pedestal stand broke , it is incredible to me that the stand stem that holds a 55 lb Tv is only 1.5 " wide no wonder it broke off. No one was near it. I called Apex and was told this has never happened , not so there are reports on the internet of this very thing happening to others.

2 issues reported here by others happened to our 46" APEX.  The SPEAKERS BLEW OUT within the first few weeks, THEN THE BASE CRACKED in 2 spots AND THE TV FELL OVER.   Can't find the replacement for the base, but found a similar sized one for $60 (feel like just throwing whole thing in trash and buying a different brand).  PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!!  DON'T BUY

Exact same thing happened to me last night; pedestal stand broke, TV crashed to the ground, just barely missing my dog.

The same thing happened to me last night. I had TV sitting on my dresser for 2 yrs. I the middle of the night the stand broke & it fell onto the floor. No one was anywhere near it. Frightening. I’m not sure it still works but if it does, can I get a stand for it or a wall mount?

Good luck calling the support number or e-mailing. I bought an Affinity 39' TV made by KCPI and it wouldn't turn on after only 4 months. I called repeatedly for over a month and no one answered the phone. I also e-mailed several times and no reply.  Finally gave up and bought a "brand" name TV. At least I know they'll answer the phone.

That phone number has been disconnected and the web page to register the warranty no longer exists.  So I guess I'm in the cold as well.  Just had my Affinity TV delivered today.  I can only hope it doesn't break down.

I'll give the same advice that I gave the other guy if you can unload dad on somebody which sounds kind of bad at least you'll get some of your money back and then go to get a brand-name I was in the hospital when our TV in the house took a dump high-voltage and went sideways kind of burnt the house down south being under the influence of the door of the anesthesia I didn't dawn on me to check at the service end of Apex because their reviews were glowing unseal you went to I believe it was KP see you  and that's when you realize you had made a big mistake so good luck maybe it'll be all right

Yes!  TV base broke and fell over.  Same thing happened, without warning Pedestal base broke and 46" LCD APEX model LD4688 serial # 33651120129509607 TV fell over mid-morning with nobody near thankfully, just missing my grand child's walker toy she quite often sits in to play!  Falling TV probably could have killed her or severely injured her.  It is my opinion that these should be recalled for safety reasons ASAP before someone gets hurt or killed or safety warning minimally go out on this risk to replace ASAP with wall mount.  Who do we report this to?

    Horrible customer service!
Bought a tmax tablet in November.  2 months later the screen cracked. After no local searches could repair screen, I called customer support and sent tablet to get repaired.  That was in February. It's now April.
Every time I called I would speak to Indians named Jason or Adam Smith.  Always said someone would call me back within 48 hours (liars).  No supervisor. No American. Constant runaround. Had to give my credit card number ($75 to repair screen) - 4 times.
Are you ready to laugh?  I've called their Indian support team...21 times.  They screwed around so long that the original ticket number expired.  More runaround.  Had to create a NEW
I refuse to give my cc number ANOTHER time.
They refuse to send my tablet without my cc number.
Why give my number AGAIN, they're not going to do anything.
Good luck to my fellow Americans that have tmax apex products. Hope you have no problems with your product.  If you do, chunk it and buy something else!

Bought an Affinity TV by KCPI. Stopped working after 4 months. Called and e-mailed repeatedly. No one ever answered the phone or replied to my e-mails. Gave up and bought a "name brand" TV. Will never purchase a KCPI product again.

Pedestal base broke on 46" LCD APEX model LD4688 and fell to floor, TV still works (crazy) but has a large chunk out of the top and cannot find a replacement part for the base as of yet.

This is the worst product you can imagine. Never buy an APEX tv...never. I just called about model # AT2704S  tv. It was a gift from a friend and came without a remote. My Direct TV gave me  two numbers to call to either get a new remote or the location of the Import key pad...they gave me two numbers, called them who gave me two more numbers called them, who gave me another number and by now "I Lost it and exploded all over the place"...so never buy one. I NEVER will that's for certain...I would rather watch bird droppings on rocks -- then have an APEX TRASH.!  No customer service. Only India Indians to speak, not very clearly at that, and no help but they can give you losts of numbers to call. APEX is sold by WAL-Mart. Never buy from them! TRASH items.

I had the same issue with my 46" LCD APEX Model LD4688.  We heard a loud crash in the middle of the night and when my husband went to find out what happened, he found the TV on the floor with a large chunk out of it.  The base just broke for no reason.  The TV still works though.  When checking the structure of the base, it does not seem to be strong enough to support the size of the TV.  Very disappointing - now the search goes on to find a replacement.  Any suggestions?

32" Apex LED TV worked for ONE MONTH before the video circuit blew (meaning sound but no video).  Apex (TMax Digital) directed me to their customer support line (A call centre in India) who informed me (after two months of deliberating) that they cannot replace or repair the TV because I live in Canada (an hour from the US Border, keep in mind).  This despite the fact that the TV was purchased in Canada with a warranty.

So to summarize:  Tmax Digital (makers of Apex) TV crapped out after ONE MONTH, and they refuse to honour their warranty.

    Conclusion:  BUY FROM ANOTHER MANUFACTURER
