WARNING - WARNING - WARNING

DO NOT BUY AN APEX TV SET.  THEY ARE JUNK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT IF IT BREAKS.

I bought an APEX 40" 1080p LED TV Set for our dad on Fathers Day 2011 and in just 3 months the speaker blew out.  I contacted the Target store I bought it from and they referred me to APEX.  I have submitted to APEX my receipt as proof of purchase and have patiently waiting 3 months to have this BS taken care of.  I have contacted APEX so called "customer support" - some dude in India - 12 TIMES OVER 3 MONTHS.  They tell you the same damn thing everytime "I am really sorry to hear about the problem sir.  Someone will call you back in 3-4 days."  NOBODY EVER CALLS YOU BACK.

I have verified with them my phone number 12 times.  I have left message for the supervisor.  I have tried over and over and over just to get this brand new TV Set to work and APEX has given me the run around time after time after time.

SO LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT BUYING ANYTHING WITH THE NAME APEX ON IT - DO NOT DO IT.  IF YOU BRAND NEW TV BREAKS, YOU WILL BE OUT IN THE COLD ON YOUR OWN TRYING TO FIX IT.  APEX WILL NOT DO A THING TO HELP YOU AND IN FACT THEY WILL SIMPLY LIE TO YOU CONTINUESLY SO YOU GIVE UP.  THE ONLY WAY TO GET EVEN WITH THEM IS TO TELL OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT THE PROBLEM SO THEY DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.  THEN, HOPEFULLY, CRAP COMPANIES LIKE THIS WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS.

The tv works all right.  However, i did need some technical support and got the biggest runaround ever.  Couldn't understand the rep, information was vague and inaccurate.  I spent two hours working on the problem and fixed it myself.  So much for any customer service.

My son bought me Apex tv for Mother Day about 2 years ago. One day i am looking at a show it started to get dark could not see any picture on the tv. I try turning it off and put it back on at the at time it when black. I try calling Apex they told me i can send i back on my expenses and it would cost me $165. for them to look at it. Also i would have to pay for labor, parts and shipping it back and fort. I also try taking it to local repair shop. They try to get the part that needed with no process. Apex told the repair shop they are not selling the parts. I also call myself and i was told the same thing. So much for customer service. I found out the name of the part i needed with was the Back light model # LE3242 can get no where. I would not any thing that APEX make any more. Do anyone have that part i can buy.

My mother in-law's Apex LD4688 crashed to the floor the other day.  It is only a few years old.  Snapped the plastic at the base while she was in the other room.  Unfortunately it just missed her cat. ;-)  I called and they gave me another manufacturer to call at 888-777-0450.  I get a busy tone every time I try it.

My grandparents TV suddenly stopped working and started making a chirping noise last night so I called a tech support number found online. The lady tells me to call the number you say you've been calling and when I do, it says the number isn't in service. What the heck?

Whew!  Wow!  Appears I am just one of many getting the runaround.  I have Model No.DT250A Audio/Video Apparatus 63TJ, Power Source Analog Pass Through for my 2006 TV.  Has worked fine until yesterday.  I don't know if it is just the remote or the entire power source and wanted info and advice.  Same runaround as all of above, same wrong #s and the e-mail address above.  7 calls, finally got a supervisor and the KCPI # and e-mail which thanks to all of you I won't bother with so as to preserve my blood pressure!.  So, next, calls to local TV stores.  APEX = unprintable comment.

I had the same issue some years ago. My speakers went out twice. I bought mine from Target, as well, and was told the same thing, to take it up with the manufacturer. Apex gave me the run-around for MONTHS!!!! Finally got my TV back from them only after threatening to go to the news about it. All of sudden they were VERY responsive. I remembered that the next time the TV went out (still in the first year), and mentioned the problem with them at the outset, again, being sure to mention how I didn't want to have to get the media involved just to get my TV fixed and Warranty honored, and that second time, they were fast and responsive the entire couple of weeks, even paying extra to ship my TV back FedEx and offered to send their own professional installers to hook it back up for me and make sure it was working in my home, so that if there were any problems in delivery that I wouldn't have to go through the trouble of calling them or arranging to send the TV back. Once you mention going to the news with your complaints, they MAGICALLY provide GREAT customer service (comparatively, against themselves).
