We waited for our furniture for over six months and when it was delivered, everything was wrong!  They sent part 3 pieces that were from our order and the rest was not what we ordered.  All of the cushions were the incorrect color.  Did I mention that they have the worst customer service department!  Please do not ever purchase furniture from this company!

    Please, please stay away from them.  I spoke to Shane when I placed my order in July of 2010, and he assured me these issues were things of the past.  He gave me an additional 20% off so then said he needed all payment up front which was nearly $7000.00.  All items should have been received no later than the 15th of September, guess what?  Today, is November 15th and I never received a thing.  He now no longer takes my calls, or returns an email.  I just had to issue a chargeback after I threatened him.  He tried the "it is a custom order you cannot cancel" but fortunately, I know my rights as a consumer.  I have filed multiple complaints and intend to get his business fined further, and plan to assist the AG's office to deal with him, apparently, his complaints are so numerous, he is in huge trouble.  He is a liar, a fraud, a thief, and I have no idea how he sleeps at night.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, source your items elsewhere....

    Oh, yes and his most recent, though about 1 month ago, excuse was due to customs.  Again, I am a well educated consumer, and when I called him out to produce customs documents, this is when he fled and will not respond to me.  There are no port issues, strikes, weather issues etc.. he is in financial mess due to payment issues and has not paid his duties.  STAY AWAY.  Also, he is paying people with dinner to give a good review, how anyone orders after a bit of research is beyond me.  He is personable, has an answer for everything when you order, will even overnight samples, but after he has your money, all service is gone.

    100% true, it is exactly what they do... rip offs of Ligne Roset, Saarinen etc... the list goes on, all of this is fine, but you never get what you paid for...

    FYI, they changed their name to Light Grey Design. Probably so they can build a horrible reputation under a new name!

    In June 2010 I ordered a Wagenfeld Bauhaus Lamp from "http://www.urbanhom.com". As of today I have not received the lamp. Email inquiries generate an automatic response which is never followed up with a substantive answer. Calls are never answered. A few months ago the original website has been closed down and the identical content can now be reached under "http://www.lightgreydesign.com/". As tempting as the price and item displayed is, do not waste your money.  After posting the above review on JabberJabber early March URBANHOM / LIGHTGREYDESIGN sent an email that the merchandise is being shipped.  Today, April 19, 2011 the merchandize still has not arrived.   Additionally, do not count on having the money returned.

    About two weeks ago I received an email asking if I still wished to receive the original order of a Wagenfeld Bauhaus Lamp.  I responded that I do.  On Friday, May 20, the promised box arrived – more than 10 months late.  Nonetheless, the lamp is as described and is working properly.  In my case it seems that, if you have the time to wait and if you are willing to spend the time on line to write the appropriate reviews while waiting, the company will deliver - eventually.   I am quite satisfied with the lamp.  Unfortunately, the less than forthcoming responses I received during my long wait soured my attitude towards ordering any other items from this company.

    The business UrbanHom deals in (now Light Grey Design-hmm..I wonder if they were trying to escape something, debts perhaps? complaints?) is completely shameless and disgraceful. I wish I read the reviews before purchasing. Not only was the order 8-months late they lied about their sales terms when I tried to resolve the incorrect order.

    They don't return phone calls. The pictures they use are nicked from Google Images. This company is a freaking nightmare and Shane disgusts me beyond belief.

    Who the hell has time to go through this? It probably will just get filed away. I wonder if you're even a legitimate company.

    It is quite truth, I can not believe how can he put people through this misery. I can not believe how much money he stole from people. He must on the run and changed his company name. As he probably never pay his vendor, or manufacture. I can not believe he is still around. This guy should in the jail long time ago.

    Please do not order anything from him. ANy company affiliate with him. It will be the biggest nightmare ever for you.

    We too were taken to the cleaners by Shane McLaughlin/LightGreyDesign/Urbanhom. He is a liar and his business is a sham.  He sent us the wrong outdoor Lounge Set twice, told us the third order would be correct and then informed us that the manufacturer sold our set to someone else.  We also ordered custom covers for all pieces of the Lounge Set that never materialized in any of the orders. Have sent all info to MN Attorney General, MI Attorney General, BBB of Minn. (currently up to 35 complaints, many of which are very recent, F rating). I am now filing with the FTC and FBI Internet Fraud. I am also in the process of contacting a TV news station in the Minniapolis area. At this point his company needs to go away so he can no longer steal from his customers.  So glad I kept all the corresponence, I am able to proove that he flat out lied!

    Has anyone been able to return an item to Light Grey? What's the process? Do they make you ship it back to them? What if the item is enormous (comes in 14 boxes), etc?

      Our return process is located within our terms and conditions section of our website. If you received exactly what you ordered and want to return it. There is a restocking and customer pays to have the item shipped back to our warehouse.

    Please contact the local Rogers Police Dept and the FBI http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx with your complaints so we can have them investigate all of our cases.
