    I was working outside, on a Sunday afternoon, when I received a text telling "THE CREDIT UNION CENTER ALERT: Your VISA has been temporarily deactivated. *Please call 24 hrs 309-277-8033." Something told me NOT to text them back. I came in and got on pc and after a few reverse look up sites, that claim they are FREE, only to find out they are NOT free, finally found a REAL FREE site. It came up as this McLeod USA Communications, INC, Inc...SCAM! Thank you GOD, for giving me this sign NOT to text them back! I will tell my bank about it tomorrow .

    Got 7 phone calls yesterday from this number.  Came as a fax.  Got two phone calls at 4:00 in the morning.  VERY irritating and upsetting.  Got better things to do than answer calls from a fax.  STOP CALLING!

    this number called me and it was a recording. The recording stated that was involved in a local law suit and I should call them to find out the information. When I called the number and refuse to tell them my name but asked what type of business was this and what need was it for them to call me. She would answer and a repeated my self and then she hung up on me..

    Get a real job
    Yup call 3 or 4 times everyday leave a message ... and are using 425-298-9548.  I called the number back and was told it was the internal revenue service... the guy was totally unprofessional so I knew it was a scam, I told him to leave us alone and hung up on him... he wanted info from me, I gave him nothing!

    Contact your states consumer protection representative.  We did when we received harassing phone calls for someone we don't even know.  Phone calls twice a day at times and at all hours.  I started writing down a journal of dates, times, and name of person on phone (try to get both first and last name).  A lot of times they would hang up before giving me a name.  Didn't matter if I tried calling them back to get more information on the company calling.  It always ended up a new phone number calling in and a different company name.  They were all from the same company just different locations.  After submitting my evidence log to the representative, they looked into it and found the company liable for harassment charges in the tune of over $100,000, per incident, if they did not take our number off their list since we were already on the "Do not call list".  Within a month's time, I received a letter from the representatives office stating that the company was told to remove our number from the list and that we would not be called again.  The company never did call back.  Hope this helps someone.

    I get called from this number 313 309.7883 and they just hang up when I say hello. I call number back and it just hangs up. Reverse look up says they are Mcleodusa Telecommunications Services in Detroit, MI . So irritating happens allot.

    Received a call from 402-408-7363 about oweing money for past due bills. court case, I said if I had this going on I would of received it thru the us mail first. you are a fraud wil be reporting this.

      I got a text from the same area code4352271630 saying I'm cheating on my girlfriend and that this person is 4 months pregnant and knows her name but that's it... Did you have the same experience?

    got  a missed call from 402-558-1311. Tried to call the number back but nobody ever picked up...
    Googled the phone number and it showed up under McLeodUSA... is this a scam???

    Yes this is a scam.  Threats, like you are going to lose your rights if blah blah blah.  Multiple numbers too. 309-439-4138. Block.

    Glad I hung up
    I just got a call from Mcleodusa from a 619 498 0255 and when I picked up it rang like 1.5x and then someone picked up and starting asking for a Mrs. (Wrong lol) but then started stumbling over my last name and you could tell it wasn't a professional and I hung up, I dialed the number right back to see who it was and it said the number I dialed could not be completed as dialed, in my recent calls I received, hung up and called back all within 60 seconds and it couldn't be completed? You guys saved my bacon on here, thank you! I won't be answering again!

    I been getting calls from this # 480-214-1204 ( many others more but all with the same prefix 480-214-???) for about a week or so calling me at least 6-7 time during the day, so, finally I answered them today  in Spanish and I guy with indian accent ask for me I told them no English and he said "oh sorry " and hand up hope this will stop them....
