    Got a call from a number from portland oregon say somthing about irs so called back guy answerd told him to quit calling as soon as i said i dont owe the irs he hung up  called back couple times and said whats this about he hung up both times

    Get frequent  recordings to call right away since I'm being sued and have been given warning now,  calling from 253-216-0662. Yet never get any legal papers in mail or from officer of court. .Now I know they are just a bunch of scammers.

    Just got a message from them claiming they were the IRS, and  this was the last phone call I would be receiving and that I was being sued by the IRS!!!   Did a phone look up number,  got  the name of who was actually calling which was Mc Leod USA !!!  Total scam!!!  Company should be investigated!!! It's illegal to claim they're the IRS!!!!

    I am on a do not call list, but continue to receive these annoying messages from various numbers!!  Does Mc Leod pay attention to this misuse and abuse of these scammers??

    Got a call from these people this morning.  Using phone number 253 216 0606.  IRS?   I think not.

    Just received a call from this number. Stating that they are the IRS and I have committed tax fraud and there will be officers at my house in 2 hours to arrest me unless I pay 8,769.00. When I asked for more details the woman became very rude calling me a criminal and telling me that I had no rights, etc. I then asked for the main number for the IRS and she said she had it but refused to give it to me because I am undeserving because I am a criminal. It's horrible and a scam. Give no information and don't fall for it.

    received another telemarketing for electric service in Ohio from 440-374-5084.  he implied he worked for ohio energy choice and champion energy.  when I pressed him about who is his employer, he would not reveal.  I traced this phone number to McLeod Telecommunications.

    Today they left a message from this number (480) 214-1616 claiming, that they are looking for network related contractors, so I looked up the phone number, and I got this:

    Perhaps it's another scam.

    Just a heads up, these people are most likely NOT based within the US, but are instead using a VOIP adapter from another country that the US doesn't have any real legal pull with.  The VOIP adapter helps to give the illusion that the call is coming from within the US, plus it is a dirt cheap way to do these scam calls.  It also means the FCC can do nothing about them.  They are also known for 'spoofing' caller ID's to fake you out, similar to phishing and whaling email scams.  Sad thing is, using VOIP adapters like that, actually has a legitimate purpose for people who are traveling in other countries a lot, so they can call home for nothing.

    I have been getting these calls here in Wilmington NC. They  claim to be the government wanting to give me $9,200. All I have to do is pay $300 to western union. When I Googled the # 206-693-4373 it said Mcleodusa Telecommunications, is anyone else getting this call?

    Several Numbers
    I been getting non-stop calls from several numbers, one time I answer and wanted me to verified my info I told I wasnt going to do if they didnt tell me what was it about, since they didnt want to tell me I told them if they had all my info to send it to me by mail. Numbers 469 304 2354, 469 304 2333, 469 323 1362, 469 265 3063, very annoyed.

    Just received a call from (216) 438-9722 . Figured it to be a scam when he said " I would be taken to court if I did not return call" . I do not answer phone if I do not know the number calling. The message was left on my answer machine.

    2183319298 here's another number they are using. I've had multiple numbers throughout the last 2 years, non stop. Over and Over...  they try and scam anything they can, they are all con-artists
