This is a cruel and illegal hoax and should be stopped immediately. I can not believe how deliberate and insidious they were. They tried to sound genuine and my mental alert was raised when the man said that I would first havw to send $200. before they would transfer U>S> Treasury check into my account. Ihope this never happens again to anyone.

Donald Holden, I just got one of those calls first the caller said that because I am a loyal citizen and had no criminal record I was eligible to get a federal grant and he said that the government selects out of a number of people to get it. The person said that the grant comes from 2000 Washington Ave I thought is it in DC. So he gave me an conformation Id and I was to call this number 202-621-0854 and give them the Id number and they would give me information to get the money which would come through western union in minutes. I asked if how would they do that. The person said they do not need my card or want that information and they don't ask for it. One other thing he said was I need to send them some money about 250.00 to get it and it was a one time thing that the government does. What do you think.

I also received a call on 08/27/2014, and first clue, the person was not in control of the English language. He had an accent and mispronounced lots of words when he tried to convince me this was real. I reported it to the local police, and to the Attorney General. No call from the Federal Gov't would come in if you never even applied for a grant. Please pass on this message to save others from this scam.

I just received a call today 11-3-14 in regards to this $8400 grant money that i was selected for. It was again a person who could not speak english very well and I was given a phone number for 206-201-2095 an account manager i could speak with in regards to my loyalty grant I was selected for. It just seemed very unreal and suspicious considering if the federal government was giving away money you wouldnt probably receive a phone call from someone who could barely speak english or at least lets hope not.

I just received the call and I was offered 9,700.00 the man said I needed to go to western union and purchase a card for 250.00 to register with the reserve bank so they could release the money to me and that once I did this they would return the 250.00 along with the 9,700.00 so I asked if they were going to return this money then why it couldn't just come out of the grant money he couldn't make me believe I told him I pass.

I just received a call stating she was from the US Federal Grant Support office and said that I was selected for an $8000 loyalty grant which I would not have to pay back. She had a very strong accent and she had my address wrong. She accessed my correct address somehow while we were still on the phone and read it to me correctly. She sounded as though she was reading from a script. She said I had three optional methods of receiving these funds, by cash through Western Union store, bank account or on a card. She gave me the account number of GO1026 and said that I needed to talk to account manager to approved the transfer at 206-452-3456. She placed me on hold to transfer my call and I hung up.

I have been offered 2 separate free Loyalty Grants in the past two weeks.  The first call from Shawn Davis, (801-899-9324) was for $2300, I paid the $3.87 S/H (on an almost maxed out credit card w/100% fraud protection).  Today (3/5/15), I received
again from the US Federal Governments Grant Division, I spoke w/Steve (210-824-0376) who said I would receive a $10,230 free Loyalty grant. Oh, Steve was calling from 200 Independence SW Ave. Washington D.C. The money was coming from The Federal Reserve Bank in New York. I then had to speak with his account Manager Victor, (360-335-3091), who walked me through the process ending with "by the way you will need to bring $230 CASH to activate the transfer of the money".  This was to take place at a MoneyGram inside Walmart were he would be on the phone w/me the whole time until I had the money including my $230.
Oh yes, none of these men could barely speak English.

This is the second call I have received from these so called people. My story is the same as yours. I questioned
everything and he assured me it was not a scam then I was to call back and speak to the manager so we could
get my money sent to walmart via moneygram but first I had to pay $210.00 paperwork free, I called walmart for the fun of it and surprise surprise  walmart knows nothing about it and does nothing with grants.  The number that
came in on my phone was not the 202-675-4392 number David Wilson had me call him back on. Such a simple name for someone I had a hard time understanding.      I wish there was a way to stop them someone is going to
be on hard times and really fall for this BS.   So glad I found these post, it stops me from questioning wow could this be real. sounds to good to be true,   Well like my father always said if it sounds to good to be true ...............

Received a phone from a blocked number stating I was randomly picked by the Federal Government to receive a $9,000.00 scholarship. When asked about the legitimacy, the telemarketer stuttered stating she's calling from Washington DC , the Federal Government, which is legit. I then responded by saying if this is true scholarship, why are you calling my phone blocked? She went on to say a phone number will be provided once I answer a few questions. Needless to say, the conversation continued to go downhill after that, with me intentionally giving this person a hard time. Frustrations finally set in, and I hung up on her still talking. For those of us who are financially struggling, this type of phone can appear to be the light at the end of the tunnel if we're not blinded by our financial woes. Oh yeah, English was my representative's second language as well.
