I bought a new house in October 2011.  I bought all new furniture for the entire house at Value City.  One of the items purchased was a headboard that also had a bed frame connected.  Very different and I like it, plus it was on sale.  When I first dressed the bed, our first night in the house, I had some pillow shames that I just laid over the headboard.  The headboard is massive in length and covers almost the entire wall, pretty big.  The shams matched the comforter and just looked like more decorations.  One day about two months later I decided to use the shams.  When I lifted them I saw all these little bugs cluttered together under both of them.  Of course I removed them.  Then I started to see small blood spots in my bed.  I blamed it on the dog at first.  Then I started to itch on my arms like crazy.  Small little bumps came out.  I went to the doctor and was told it was my nerves.  I woke up one night to go to the bathroom, tossing and turning was my norm after moving into the house but I never knew why, just accepted that it was me.  When I turned on the light before getting back into bed, I saw all of these small bugs that I first thought was ticks.  I thought bed bugs were this microscopic little bugs.  Well let me tell you, they are, but they grow into these larger bugs that to me look like ticks.  I contacted an exterminator to inspect - they told us we were infected.  We have to take out all of our clothes and put into industrial trash bags and put outside so the heat of the day will kill them.  I have been washing my bedding everyday in hot water and drying.  Guess what?  Now my machines are infected and I can't wash in them until they are treated.  Today we are removing clothes from closets and drawers, taking pictures down, and packing up nick nacks like we are moving again.  Treatment starts tomorrow!!!!!!!  I spent hundreds on pesticides trying to do this myself.  Now the service is over one thousand to have my entire house exterminated.  Plus, I signed up for quarterly protection from here on out that will cost me &500/yearly.

I also purchased a new bedroom set from VCF after 2 1/2 months I had to have Terminix come out and guess what I have bedbugs   I also thought it was me because my body is sensitive but after 2 weeks I started noticing little red bumps so I took Benadryl and Cortizone and it cleared up.  Then my daughter and granddaughter slept in my bed and my granddaughter had to go to the emergency room.  My daughter is bitten all over her arms and hands.  I had to remove all clothes, rugs, sheets, pillows, comforter, curtains, sheer etc... and put in heavy duty bags. Terminix charged me 1525 for the entire house ;-{.   VCF is not taking to take care of this matter

    Hello,

I purchased furniture from V.C.F. and discovered a bedbug infestation. I called the company to address and correct the issue. I followed their instructions and had an exterminator come to my home in Maryland. The exterminator verified the source was the "NEW" furniture. The Value City decided not to reimburse me for any of my expenses or the furniture while not denying they were at fault or liable. I have over 90 scars on my arms, legs, stomach and back as a direct result. I am studying law and decided to file suit on my own behalf against Value City. I would like to speak to anyone that has had an issue with bed bugs and Value City Furniture. I have created an email address for anyone interested in speaking to me so I can show this companies history in court to a jury. I am in the discovery phase of litigation and have a few months before a trial date will be set so the sooner people contact me the better. Thank you for reading my post, the email address is following this sentence.

Bought my kids matching headboards with the big rhinestones and tufts... Only had them for a few months. Today my daughter found a bedbug on hers so we checked out the whole bed found another on her blanket... Then my oldest found one on her headboard within minutes so we checked the headboards and it was sickening!!! We found almost each stage of bedbugs throughout the staple creases and black fabric folds of both headboards!!! What a waste of hard earned money that we definitely don't have to waste!!

    Disgusted
We purchased a headboard and sectional from vcf in Cincinnati last June. Earlier this month my daughter was bit. We found some on a box spring in that room after further investigation by our exterminator he found the inside of our headboard completely infested! It was only after pulling off the velcro enclosure that he saw them nesting inside the fabric and this was after 2 treatments! They were still living and multiplying! I don't even know where to begin with VCF. Really unbelievable!

I purchased a new bed from VCF in February for my daughter. Previous to this, she had the same bed for about 5 yrs and we never had any issues. Now, with this new bed, we have found that she has bedbugs. I live in a 3 bedroom townhouse, and her room is the only one that is infested. Very disgusted to see that this is the norm for VCF, something needs to be done ASAP!

Purchased a gray fabric bed set from VCF Cincinnati *Springdale* in November 2017. My daughter was complaining of itching and one night she found a bedbug on her bed. We had someone come out to treat her room for an entire month only to find several on her headboard. We decided to take the black lining off the back and along the sides and guess what?? BEDBUGS all in the lining and along the fabric.  I am beyond pissed because I have NEVER had bedbugs and thank God it was only in her room not all over the house. At this point I don't know what to do besides throw away a $1800 bedroom set. Should I contact the store? What should I do? I want my money refunded ASAP.
