I thought that since England brand was part of Lazyboy that the furniture would be decent but I was wrong.  The price was reasonable but certainly not cheap.  I purchased a sofa and a chaise chair. They both felt firm and comfortable in the store but the comfort lasted about 4  months.  The frames are not supportive and both the couch and the chair are so uncomfortable to sit in that my husband refuses to sit in the family room where these pieces are.  The fabric looked worn after about 6 months.  Wow do I wish I had read comlaints here before I bought.

I bought a sectional from Levin Furniture in Pittsburgh manufactured by Lazy Boy under their England Furniture name. The cushions were nice and comfortable for about 4 months. I had the core cushions replaced once and the replacements are worse than the originals. Five minutes after i am sitting down i am actually sitting on the frame. Now the labor warranty has expired and they want me to pay the labor to replace them again. They also said they will not replace them with a heavier duty core cushion because England Furniture only makes one cushion. That's a crock. I feel ripped off. What is the sense of putting a ten year warranty on a cushion if it falls apart after 4 months. I can only hope this helps someone make an educated decision not to buy England Furniture!!

Ashley couch purchased from Levin in monroeville pa.Purchased 2 new couches from Levin in Monroeville and noticed that when you got up that the couches  made an audible groaning popping sound especially on the center cushion so we contacted Levin and they sent a furniture repair man to our home who confirmed that the noise was not right and Levin would opt to replace the couches rather than pay the higher cost to repair them. Levin did and the second set was worse than the original and was refused on delivery. We went to Levin and discussed the problem with the Service Mgr. who advised us that they would send out yet another set and these would be right, well they arrived today and they are as bad as the original WE HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE SERVICE FROM LEVIN,BUT BEWARE OF ASHLEY FURNITURE I BELEIVE IT IS CHEAP SCRAP(SO MUCH FOR BUY AMERICAN)

ASHLEY FURNITURE IS NOT SCRAP / IT CONSISTS OF ASIAN HARDWOODS / AND IS COVERED IN ARCADIA WI. IT IS MORE AFFORDABLE TO BUILD THE FRAME OVERSEAS. IF YOU WANT TO BUY AMERICAN MOST FLEXSTEEL OUT OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND ENGLAND OUT OF TENNESSEE. YOU GOT A WAY BETTER PRICE ON ASHLEY. AND HOW DO YOU GET THREE IN A ROW THAT MAKE WEIRD NOISES BUT THE FLOOR MODEL YOU SAT IN AT THE STORE WAS FINE. YOU JUST LIKE TO COMPLAIN. CRYBABY

Just so you know I bought England and the cores do break down. Honestly have them order you cores they are not that hard to put in yourself. Forget the labor fee. Call England Directly too, they will be able to help.  Cores have 10 year warranty USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE!!!!!! I don't know but it holds up.  All you have to do is Ask for the cores!!

Although England, Inc. may not produce the foam core used in the seat cushions, we do however provide a limited 10 year warranty.  This should offer you some reassurance that we stand behind our product and that we are a consumer friendly company.  If you ever have a warranty or manufacturing defect with an England product, and if you have been unsuccessful in resolving the issue with your local, please feel free to contact me at philip.arnold@englandfurniture.com or 423-626-5211 ext 1306.  I will work with you to reach an amicable resolution.
    Thanks,
    Philip

I bought an Englander sectional couch. After 3 months the seat cushions compressed so that I was sitting on the frame. Englander told me the compression rating was 22. Lazy Boy standard is 25.
The S coils in the couch are noticeable with thin fabric over coil. Englander says they can’t increase compression. What crap!!! Englander Furniture is the worst furniture mfg I have ever dealt with. Worst quality ever seen in 40 years!!!
They need to be shut down by BBB. Btw they are not mbr of BBB

I special ordered an England sofa and chair.  I researched the furniture and was led to believe that this was "great" furniture.  Within a couple of months the cushions' fabric, on the sofa, started to rip on the seams.  I contacted, Clopman's in Massena (where I purchased the sofa/chair) and they replaced the ripped cushion.  Then a few months later (within the same year) the back of the oversized chair was ripping off!  They replaced that, however, upon return of the chair, I noticed a spot that was not sewn.  Then I went to vacuum the sofa  a couple of months later and saw that the other 2 cushions are now ripping.  For what I paid for this furniture, it didn't even last a 15 months.  Now I am informed that the fabric is no long made.  Now what am I suppose to do!  I want my money back.  Jill LaCoss

I purchased England reclining sofa and chair from Gavigans in Westminster, MD and I love it. My sales consultant did inform me of the firmness in the cushions, warranties, and proper use of reclining furniture, and with that understanding I made my purchase. I believe she did her job by describing the differences between reclining and stationary and why reclining only functions one way. If I choose to use it any differently than that is my choice. Come on people, lets take responsibility for ourselves once in a while and stop blaming the retailers for everything we don't like. I hope Gavigans continues to carry England furniture. I will be back.

    To: Mr. Philip Arnold,

Since the store here in Rochester, NY has closed, I am not able to contact anyone about our England furniture we purchased three yrs. ago.  Like some other customers, our sofa & loveseat foam cores broke down after only a few months but I was told to bring the cushions in and they would replace them.  We did so but the same thing happened almost immediately (the foam cores are simply not of good quality)  My daughter purchased a lazy boy sofa and we compared her foam core with ours to find that quality foam to be much firmer and hers has held up very well for 7 yrs.

Isn't there a way to provide us with replacement cores that are of the lazy boy quality instead of using the same softer ones that don't hold up at all.

Our furniture "looks" beautiful but is far from comfortable and we end up falling into the cushions' sections---this is very noticeable even though I keep exchanging the end t-cushions.   Can't something be done about this problem?   Thank you for listening.   Claire Finnegan  Rochester, NY

Blog sites, such as the one you are reading, can provide some insightful information.  For me as a representative of the company I actively engage in conversations with consumers.  The goal is to learn if and what about out products did not meet their satisfaction and then put an action plan into place to fix the issue.  In some cases it has allowed us to modify different aspects of our products and we realize that sometimes laboratory testing does not mirror in home usage and testing.  Your comments and information help us to build a better product.  Although many believe otherwise, England, Inc. is a very customer friendly and concerned company.  We pride yourselves in listening, but more importantly in correcting inferior product, correctly bad situations and reaching amicable resolutions.  So if you ever have a situation, that you feel is a manufacturing defect, do not hesitate to contact the store where the purchase was made.  If you do not get the answers or satisfaction that you feel is reasonable, please feel free to contact me directily at 423-626-5211 ext 1306 or at philip.arnold@englandfurniture.com.
    Thanks,
    Philip

I just want to say to all the people out there that are having problems with England furniture "How are you using it." I'm a sales person and sell alot of the produt. I love it and sell more England than anyother brand we carry. If you take care of your furniture it will last. About the warranty they do stand behind the cushions you must call the store you bought it from or the company.
