I thought that since England brand was part of Lazyboy that the furniture would be decent but I was wrong.  The price was reasonable but certainly not cheap.  I purchased a sofa and a chaise chair. They both felt firm and comfortable in the store but the comfort lasted about 4  months.  The frames are not supportive and both the couch and the chair are so uncomfortable to sit in that my husband refuses to sit in the family room where these pieces are.  The fabric looked worn after about 6 months.  Wow do I wish I had read comlaints here before I bought.

I asked a simple question how to deal with a problem with the fabric on my sofa and this is what I get by using the England furniture site:

Thank you for your purchase of our product.  Any and all purchases are to be directed to the selling dealer.  We would strongly suggest you contact your dealer and they can check the availability of the items you are requesting.

This has nothing to do with my question -- how can i get rid of the snags in the furniture?  This simply says "whatever...don't bother me" ... I wanted to keep this sleeper but now will not only get rid of it but not use England or La Z y Boy...

I hope you can do something about the responses Bill Woods gives customers.

      Robin,
Thank you once again.  You misunderstood the statement indicated and what we would suggest is to consult wtih your delaer or an unpholstery service for recommendations.  What we can offer is if you wish to replace a part on your product we would strongly urge you to consult wtih your dealer as they have the pertinent information to check the availability of the items you are requesting.  The "snags" you have indicated would be classisfied as something that could occur when subject to envirionment and if this happened during the manufacturing process or was determined as a warrnaty issue we would suggest replacing the compromised part on the product.

          Diane,

You might want to check your spelling of "advise" versus the word "advice".

          Just a thought,

          Thank you.

MelG your comment as a sales person to suggest people aren't taking care of their furniture is rediculous. Furniture does not break down in 6 months if it is well made. There is post after post about the England Brand which is what I was going to buy today...but after reading these comments I certainly won't. I am replacing an Ashley sectional that is also a giant piece of junk and broke down exactly in the same way the England furniture has been said to break down so therefore Ashley Furniture is also junk. However, not everyone can afford top of the line furniture so if you do buy these brands buy with the mind-set that it is only temporary with the plan that you know you will buying all brand new in about 5 years.
