I was accused of receiving a pay day advance in the amount of $300.00 into my TD Bank account and was informed that if I don't pay $ 575.99 back that they are going to send the sheriff office to my job and have me arrested. He told me my email address and that I had committed a fraud but he could not tell me when this transaction took place.

      Sonia,

If I were you, I would pull my credit report, if you have not requested one within the last 12 months because you are entitled to one free credit report per year from all three credit bureaus.  If you do not see this company listed on your credit report, then there is a good chance that you do not owe this money.  Also by law, the creditor must be able to validate this debt, if they are unable to validate a debt they are not allowed to contact you about the debt.  These are just some of your rights as a consumer.  I hope this helped.

They have called my step son and daughter in law, making threats. what should I do, I never used them for anything, how would they be getting that information??? Also, they called my stepdaughters mother, (my husbands x wife) telling her they were going to lock me up for fraud. How can I find out how they are getting these numbers and addresses?  s.m.

There are a lot of people out there who are against installment payday cash advances, but most of them have never actually used the product. It is usually the prosperous politicians who are saying negative things. Most people who have actually used the product have good things to say about them. Many people feel that having the option to borrow has helped them considerably. Get more info at: https://personalmoneynetwork.com

I got a phone call today from the legal department for US Cash Advance saying that I would be arrested because they said I took out an internet pay day loan that I didn't payback, which didn't. They told me that the police would be at my address to arrest by 11am on the 30th. These people had my address drivers license number, ssn, even had my sons father name. Most people will pay especially if they are threat with an arrest. How can these people get away with this. They have getting away with this for years

I just received an email allegedly from the Sr. Loan Officer (Jack Johnson) with Advance America Payday Loans.  The email contained supposedly loan confirmation documents in pdf format.  Therefore, I had the option to view them first or download them and then view them.  I chose to view only.  These documents indicated I was approved for a $1500 payday loan.  My monthly payments would be $279 a month for 6 months.  The letter was signed by a Daniel Gray (CEO) with Mr. Johnson title and name just below.  It listed a phone number of +1-973-551-8836 for Cash Advance America Pad Day Loan.

The documents are really well put together except one problem on each page.  The watermark has a variation of the Great Seal and the letters US next to it.  The bald eagle is sitting on top of the shield.

I think this is a scam b/c there is a Cash Advance America Pay Day Loan here in my city so, why the long distance number?  I think I will pass after reading some of the scams everyone has written about on this page.  I had you people had to go through it b/c money is already tight and if you are having a financial hardship already, it is a damn shame that these crooks are taking further advantage of us.

800-972-5194 This people are an absolute joke! Mac Johnson called me yesterday after noon and left a voicemail saying that my loan from "insta cash usa" has gone into default and that he needed to speak with me. I called back this morning and asked for Mac Johnson and they put me on hold and never came back so I hung up. They called me back maybe 5 mins later saying his name was Micheal Smith. He kept asking for my social security number and I refused to give it to him. He said I owed $560 and asked when I can make the payment. When asked what that location was he refused to give it to me. I told him to send me documentation on this suppose loan and he stated that he can send me something in an email. I have still yet to receive on email with this information. I called back just now asked for Micheal Smith and they stated they didn't know anyone by that name and put me on hold again. Came back to the phone and said his was Michael Smith. When I asked where the email was he kept asking when I will make a payment and wanted to verify my banking information. I didn't give him anything! And told him to email me the documents and that I will call him once I get them. He said I should get them on the next 15 to 20 mins. What a joke! Don't give these Indian scam [***] any information! Their low life's just trying to scare people into sending them money.

Wow...I just received a call from a company claiming to represent Advanced America. The man claimed I owed them 1,000.00, I borrowed it in Sept.2011. They knew way too much personal information. I got mad asked a lot of questions they couldn't answer. The India..sounding man said his name was Sean Johnson. After reading these complaints I think that it was a scam. I told the man I would see them in court, I had never borrowed money from their company. Strange how the man became angry the more questions I asked. Word of warning....if you didn't take a loan don't pay these people anything, they are low life thieves.

I got one better. I checked my account and found three different debits on the same day from some place called Black Bear. I called my bank and filed a complaint, they told me the phone number. I called the India jerk, told him he hacked my account, he laughed, then asked for my SS# to find out the problem. I told him "you're the genius who hacked my account you already know my SS#. Stupid idiot, I never told him my name, so he is probably still searching. The bank has a RED FLAG on it, and it will take up to 10 days to put the money back in. $425.00, and I am calling the better business bureau.
