A woman "Ms. Golden" continues to call and leave messages for a "Renee Rosenfeld" regarding a debt/and a court case, but hangs up when I pick up the phone. There is no such person at my home. I have no idea who Renee Rosenfeld is!!! It is so frustrating. I have filed complaints on the DO NOT CALL website, but this robot stills calls.

Reported to be a debt collector, Nations Recovery Center, based in Georgia, with numerous complaints of falsely threatening legal action, attempting to collect on unowed amounts, and other FDCPA violations, including one of their employees who impersonated a law enforcement officer.  Illegal intimidation appears to be their standard tactic.

Got a message on the answering machine from a woman named "Diane ???" - (sounded like she purposely made her last name unintelligible).  Stated that it was "urgent" that I return her call and that they had a "legal claim filed in their office today, August 16th 2009" (It hasn't even become August 16th 2009 at this point - maybe she meant to say August 6th - but it was clearly stated the 16th in her message).  Told me to call: 770-234-0101 ext. 2108 immediately - never giving the company or agency that she was supposed to be representing.  Since I live no where near that area code, I decided to do some research - it was Nations Recovery Center in Atlanta, GA - I live in NY and if a claim were to have been filed, it would have to be in the county in which I live which about a thousand miles away from them.  In my research, I found that in November of 2008, a 39 year old trainer from Nations Recovery Center was impersonating a Fulton County sheriff by obtaining a police officers uniform, handcuffs, a fake ID and badge and would illegally try to effect collection efforts on alleged debtors that were in a reasonable driving distance from their office.  The man impersonating a sheriff was reported to have even carried LOADED handguns on a gunbelt.  He was arrested by the real Fulton County sheriffs and they found one of the two LOADED handguns on his belt when he was arrested.  (You can search for the articles online regarding the arrest.)
If these people think I'm dealing with a completely illegal operation, they're nuts and in case these guys haven't noticed, our AG here in NY just got done going after a huge list of junk debt buyers, attorneys and process servers for doing illegal stuff like sewer services, impersonating attorneys when they weren't, etc. which resulted in thousands of default judgements being vacated, so they may want to be careful and make sure that they follow the law, which apparently they have a long history of refusing to do...

DORAVILLE, Ga. -- A credit collector has been charged with impersonating a Fulton County police officer. Real officers arrested 39-year-old Joseph Jackson at his workplace in Doraville. Police said Jackson was wearing an officer’s uniform, complete with a fake badge, patches and a firearm.

These people from NRC have constantly harassed and demanded money from me, since 2009.  They are the most rude people ever, even the Manager had a nasty attitude after I wanted to let her know how her employees were but she was just like them.  I was told a letter was mailed to me several times, but to this day I have never received one.  They have called my place of employment asking for Human Resource office so they can garnish my check and there have been numerous messages left on my phone about taking my property and having my lawyer call them...but I wish I did have one, because I just can't take these people anymore....my heart is racing soooo fast and I am soooo upset!  Let's take action against them.  This has to stop!!!!

I get the same calls from this dirtbag agency. They call a business number of mine and ask for someone I've never heard of. Luckily, I'm a sole proprietor with no employee's so I get all the calls. I never answer them and delete the voice mail messages. Maybe they'll get the hint someday.

if you pay your bills you wont get these calls they search for people who owe if it's the wrong number simply pick up the phone and say so. Most people that complain about collection calls are looking for a excuse to get out of paying the accounts they ran up now they want to run out on the debt and blame others. Your're a professional dead beat debtor!!!!!!

Why not just pay your bill you owe it and you got a bill prior to your account going to the collections agency so it's not as if you didn't know you had the bill isn't on your credit report? Why are you blaming them for not getting a letter? Why is it everybody else fault but yours you complaining but you have yet to say you wanted to resolve the issue by seeing what you could do to correct the record of your pass. It's your fault you getting the calls and treatment you in collections and you're looking for customer service? Are you serious!!! Stop them is the wrong answer in fact you keep them working with people like you they have a job security because you have an account in their office.

Sometimes people fall on hard times and cannot afford to pay these debts, or as in my case have been trying to work with them myself and with a debt management company. I have offered to make payments but it is never enough. You have some nerve making a general statement when you know none of the circumstances that any of us are going through. Those of you that are so high and mighty that seem to have no debt apparently like to try and beliitle those of us who have made mistakes in the past. All I have to say to you and your kind is to get a life cause if you are reading this you obviously have to much time on your hands!!!!!!!

"Most people that complain about collection calls" have no legal outstanding debt or are victims of identity theft. Keep on dialing those digits, collection cowards. If you think you can get money out of me for the transgressions of some complete stranger that has nothing to do with me, don't waste time bothering me on the phone, I'll just block your numbers. Come and try to get it in person. Show me you can back up all that tough talk, phone tough guy. Be seeing you... or not.

    Tired of the ASS*****
They keep calling my cell for Howard Moore. They have been calling 5 times a day for 6 months. I have told them repeatedly I do not know this person, am not related and am not responcible for his bills. I ask them to remove my number from their system and still they call. I am hiring an attorney. They are just scammers who harrass you for no real legal reason.Crooks!!! Everyone of them

Repeatedly leaving messages on my answering machine stating that by listening to this message I acknowledge that I am "William Hanson." There are many things in this world I am uncertain of but one thing I am definitely certain of is that by listening to a message it does not change my name!

Keep calling my phone asking for someone named Thomasina Cofield to call them immediately...since my name is not Thomasina Cofield, I have just ignored them...after reading the other posts, guess I'll just continue doing that.

I received two collection letters on 2/3/2012 from this company for two credit card accounts I had with their bank. I mailed them two letters on the2/4/2012 explaining my situation and a payment proposal. I received a call from one of their employes regarding one of the debts. I tried to explain to him that I am mailing them two letters with a payment proposal. He said that he was going to post that I was refusing to make payments.  I had to tell him how much the proposal was. He then wanted to know if I mailed a payment. I told him no. I was waiting for a confirmation letter.

These debt collectors would not want to be or have  their relatives to be talked to like this if their debts was in collections. We the consumer need more rights regarding the and debt collection industry. The debt colletion industry need to be regulated.
