Fraudulent Verizon Claim shown on my credit report
Complaint

I have the same issue. I never had Verizon service in my life and somebody ordered a phone and as per Verizon's record, I never used it. After 4/5 years I saw it in my credit report that I owed them around $200 and now it is $372.00, out of the blue. I tried convincing them that I never had a Verizon service and they have my SS# as well to convince me that I ordered it, which I didn't. I hate to pay for something I never asked for. Its not right. How do I handle the situation? Please advise.

If you are dealing with AFNI, the simplest solution is to pass the case off to a consumer attorney willing to take the case on contingency. As reported in many, many consumer complaints, AFNI plays "chicken", lies, and cheats, but they have been caught a lot, so there are attorneys interested in going after them.
