collected the fee for the insurance but did not provide information
Complaint

To all who are having or had a problem with Travel Guard. I have been reading many complaint boards and found a high number of complaints about Travel Guard. If it is true that Travel Guard is, or is affiliated with AIG I would like for you all to remember how they were bailed out and how their execs paid themselves bonuses with that bail out money.
I am not sure how to go about it, but I feel that strength is in numbers and that perhaps if we find a way to connect we can get some justice and the money they owe us.
I have already contacted the Insurance Commissioner for California but fear they will not do much. I will contact the Attorney GeneraL, and my Congresswoman.
I am outraged to think my taxes, the money I worked so hard for, is now being used to defraud more unsuspecting travelers.
I hope this is not one of these dead websites where nothing happens.

I will also follow through with letters to the North Carolina Insurance Commission, and other Avenues..in order to settle this matter...
"Thank you for the insurance premium refund request.
In the Description of Coverage, it states the following:
"Requests (for refunds) must be submitted to Travel Guard in writing
within 15 days of the effective date of the coverage, provided it is not
past the original departure date."
The policy became effective on 02/09/13 and your request was received on 03/11/13.
Since your request was received more than 15 days past the effective date, the premium is non-refundable.
We regret our response could not be more favorable. However, we must administer the contract (policy) as it is written. Our company always strives to give the finest quality service to our customers.
Sincerely,
Courtney Rucker

"Thank you for the claim information submitted. Please send the following information, enabling us to further process your claim.
-Proof the airfare booked was non refundable class. Please note we have contact(ed) British Air on this matter however they have informed us that due to their policy they will not release information without the ticket holders consent."
Is this the first time they have dealt with British Airways? Travel Guard was fully aware when I first submitted my claim that they would need a release from me, but they don't ask for it until the third time they send me a form letter. There is no form included that they want me to sign giving my consent, and my father is dead so he can't give his consent, so I am not sure what to submit. Now do I just send them a letter giving consent and I sign it? They then would write back saying I have done it wrong. So I call them, as I did with the Affidavit of Survivorship, and they gave me information over the phone, which I then submitted, they write back saying I did it wrong, but no form or explanation of the correct way to do it. You get the idea. I submit information, they say it is wrong, or incomplete, or they need a new and different piece of information and so it goes. THIS COMPANY IS NOT ABOUT PAYING CLAIMS. Will they ever pay? Will I ever submit enough information correctly? It has been a year and still no check, just letters saying give us more information.
I will NEVER, EVER buy insurance from this company. I think they are a scam. I think the good reviews are posted by people the company has paid. If you doubt the veracity of this email me at cambmirrors@hotmail.com. In the Subject Line write Chartis Travel Guard Sucks.
