24ProtectPlus charged my credit card $14.95. I've never had any business with the company. I called the 800 number given on their website 800-211-9749 and spoke to a woman who agreed to stop my "membership", and refund the money. I will be watching my card to make sure the money is refunded. I also don't understand how this company is still in business as I found complaints on the web dated as far as 2004!

I suggest avoiding Intellius (it is they that are responsible0. Also write to your Attorney General, regardless of State to investigate the co.

Yes, I agreed to a one-time 99¢ lookup special from Intellius and not only received the 99¢ charge but also a $19.95 subscription fee and the 24Protectplus for another $19.95.
I called the ProtectPlus phone number listed on the bill and the guy also agreed to credit my card and cancel the subscription. They also sent me an email confirming the cancellation (save that). I will be calling Itellius tomorrow. This is highway robbery!!

I just checked my checking account and saw a charge for $19.95 for a 24PROTECTPLUS.  I always check my account and immediately I knew this was a fraud.  It was too late to call my bank but I got on line and searched for 24PROTECTPLUS and found that it was a scam.  I called the number I saw from one of the complaints, 1-800-211-9749, and a person named, Monica, told me that evidently I had purchased something and was being billed for it.  She asked me for my credit card number but I refused to give it.  Than she asked for my telephone number and I guess the telephone number must be hooked up to the credit card number.  I told her that I had not given my credit card number and that what they did was illegal.  She claimed it was not.  I believe they got my number through my telephone number that I had provide to get some free coupons sent to my email address.  I can't believe it.  How can they charge me if I did not give my credit card number let alone buy something?  From what I have read so far, I heading to the Bank very early to get this fixed.  Even though she said that within 2 to 3 days the charges will be taken off, I don't believe her.  I'm just going to change my credit card number and never give me telephone number to anyone on the internet unless I'm on a legitimate site.

Beware of Intelius people search. This is where you will be linked to the scam of 24Protectplus. Without knowing,  when you use Intelius to search for
a friend etc. you will find yourself being linked to this scam. I had no idea of any problem until I received an e mail from 24Protectplus. When I called the toll free number to cancel the membership, I was told they got my name and other info from the Intelius serach. I have been told that my membership has been canceled. I will be watching to make sure this is the case.

INTELIUS!!!! I did a phone record lookup from a provider called INTELIUS and I am now being charged a 19.95 per month fee from "Secure Home Club". They are using the same 800-211-9749 number as 24PROTECTPLUS. I am not waiting. I already had to cancel another credit card I used for the same service as I started being charged for things like GOOGLEADWORDS.COM and GODADDY.com. All because of a phone lookup service INTELIUS. What a scam!!!

This company is a SCAM! I noticed it charged twice on two bank statements. Both charges were $19.95. I called their 800 number and was cut off twice when they said they were "looking up my account". I called back and finally got someone who then told me my name wasn't even in their system and then asked for my card number, in a nasty tone may I add. I hung up on that woman and called my bank and filed a claim and had my card number changed!

Hey I got a charge for $19.95.  The agent for the add( Christen Badge #700103) said,"The charge was for Intellus and I or someone in my household had clicked on a coupon that said 10.00 cash back on Intellus protect plus. I said so you can click on a blinking coupon and they can charge your account without you giving them your card then??? Christein said yes.   I'm going to dispute it with Intellus also.  They are supposed to be a secure account for background check's.   dj

On May 20, 2009 I had to use a people finder website in order to get the address of a friend to send him a package of his belongings.  Upon finding the person a fee was required of just under $1.  I paid the without thinking much of it only to find that there were also hidden fees involved that I was later charged $19.95 for on May 28, 2009.  The company charging me, Intelius.com, said that I had signed up for the subscription of 24protectplus.com which was the company that was now going to charge me $19.95 monthly.  Somehow 24protectplus had stolen my credit card information from Intelius and intended to charge me without my knowledge.  I had never heard of this company and it seems that, upon searching google for this company, hundreds of others are being scammed by these same people.  I'm amazed at how far back the dates of complaints of this company go and how nothing has been done to stop them.  After spending a lot of time making phone calls I have now cleared my credit card "purchase" and cancelled my "subscription".  But I wanted to follow up with a complaint because there needs to be something done about this company.  They are siphoning funds from people all across the country and when caught make it out to be my fault for signing up for something that I have never heard of.  Another thing that was extremely disturbing when I called my bank to dispute the charge was that Chase Bank actually advertises this 24protectplus company.  Along with this I have also read complaints that Bank of America and AOL have had associations with this company.  Although I am supposedly going to be refunded, I am still deeply disturbed that a company like this can operate in America for several years.  Something needs to be done.

I too have been charged @24.95 a month for several months.  There is not enough info to contact any one. My cc co credited 5 months, but three days later a new charge.  This is ridiculous.

My bank was trying to help but their unable to fund me back any of my money. Does any one know how I could get my money back that these people have stolen. I've never even heard nor been to either one of their websites or ever bought anything from them. I don't even know how they got a hold on my account.

Isn't it great that our government would allow such a company to do what they are doing?  I bet they get kickbacks.
