Dear Montage Furniture Services,
I would like to thank you for completely changing my opinion of protection plans.

After submitting forms, pictures and numerous phone calls to your organization regarding what should have been a simple cleaning to remove a child's pee from two cushion covers, 2 months later, those covers have yet to be cleaned through MFS or its affiliates.

I had an appointment scheduled for Friday, May 25th, with Tri County Furniture Service, Inc. 888-400-3185.  At 4:00am on the 25th I was unexpectedly called in to work.  I did however remember my appointment so I left the two cushions in the enclosed entryway to my home's front door where an electrical outlet is available.

Later on the 25th I checked my voice mail and listened to a message left earlier that day from a technician of Tri County.  The technician stated that he was at my home but there was no place for him to plug in his cleaning equipment.  I immediately called the technician back on his cell phone and left a message saying that the outlet is behind the cushions.  In addition to trying to contact the technician, I've also left messages with Tri County.  I've never heard back from anyone.

This morning I put the two cushion covers in the washing machine on the delicate cycle and they are now drying outside on the lanai, clean and in perfect condition.  The next time I'm asked if I would like to add a protection plan to my purchase, I'll be sure to share this experience with the sales person and then politely say, "no thank you."

Montage is a complete waste of money, I was just denied a claim today because of excessive stains.... my 2 year old dumped a bottle of Gatorade on the couch, but Montage wont cover it because they state from the pictures that its an old stain..... Not sure how they can tell that, I called today and the first rep I spoke with was very polite, but didn't know how to resolve the issue so transferred me the supervisor who was COMPLETELY RUDE, she started the conversation with an attitude and it went downhill from there.  Their standpoint was I didn't report it right away.... Amazing what they can tell from a picture...... They are somewhat correct though, it did take about 5 days to get a reply and find out how to file the claim online.... very smooth they are.... this is a complete scam, don't waste your money.  She did say I could appeal the decision by writing a letter to the main office, but to expect 6-8 weeks for a reply.....

I purchased a recliner for my disabled husband. Needless to say the springs under the recliner broke. I received a call from 941 753 6972 on 9-18-2013, spoke with Teresa in dispatch. She claimed would not   be able to send tech to my home till Oct 3?? I asked for person in charge, said his name was John and he would not be able to help either.  Besides his out of the office and wont be back for approx 2 weeks.  Teresa was very unconcerned and said I have to wait just like all the others. How does this company stay in business with such poor customer service.  She refused to give me the techs name.  For sure the BBB will be contacted also the president of this company needs to be aware of whats going on.  Maybe he does not care either.  I purchased a 5 year warranty and now it looks like I will be ripped off. In the meantime my husband has no chair. I sure hope whoever reads this has the courtesy to respond. Montage reputation is very poor.

I have worked for several companies as a repair tech and have done 1000's of in home repairs. 1000'S of satidfied customers. but there is a few out there that won't be satisfied no matter what is done. i see a few people on here that just don't like to wait. your not the only person out there. patience is needed. if you have to appeal then do so. keep making calls. Read the papers when u buy protection. maybe you shouldn't buy it. maybe you should sit on floor. sleep on floor. eat on floor. or build your own. use screws instead of staples. use steel if your on the heavy side or you flop and don't use ur midsection to sit down. a few dissatisfied don't make the protection bad. 1000'S buy and are satisfied. ever buy a car? A lemon? Car or couch...some are lemons. you buy protection for that reason. not so you can mistreat and abuse the furniture and expect to get new replacements! Guess mom didn't teach you comin sense. quit pointing fingers. ruead what you buy. patience. appeal . and next time build ur own or use the damn floor...

James you sound like an Idiot spouting off on same thing over and over. It looks like your mother never taught you any language writing skills to boot. Reading the warranty is one thing. Following up with a customer is another. Maybe they work how you spell.

    Montage hater
Kitty urinated on sofa after suffering a stroke while we were out of town. Contacted Montage who had a tech come out. His response was cant clean this. Needs replaced. Great expect Montage states that tech cleaned sofa...not ...may I have a copy of what my husband signed stating it could not be cleaned? Nope montage never got that. Now today a supervisor states it is not covered if not stain. They do not cover odors. But wait, their plan covers bodily fluids from pets...any suggestions on how to deal with this company?

A person from MFS came to my home this past week... stood for maybe 7 minutes, took pictures and verbally noted to me (with others witnesses in my home) that "it was a structural problem" with your couch and yes MFS should get back to you and take care of this in 5 days.  The next day I get an email that says "DENIED"...   it is definitely a scam...   I suggest that we get a group litigation together.    Depending on their response to me I will post here again after I get more specifics.  I would like to give them a chance to recifiy this first.

Montage Furniture Services is a huge scam. I just called about a stain/discoloration on my not-yet-2-year-old faux leather couch. I have the contract right in front of me that clearly states what it covers and what it does not.
The operator told me this morning it discoloration not covered on the phone today despite the fact I read the contract coverage stating it does to her verbatim. She said only on wood does it cover.. Huh? Shouldn't that be listed. I have already contacted the BBB and the Illinois Attorney General as I know her and she does not take lightly to fraud especially when elderly people are ripped off like I have been.
Never ever buy a furniture protection plan if its from Montage Furniture Services. Shame on you Rothman Furniture for selling this plan and lying that it covers everything except animal damage!!!

I want everyone to know if you shop at Ashley Furniture DO NOT BUY THE MONTAGE PROTECTION PLAN IT IS A TERRIBLE SCAM. $300.00 out the window.  I cut the furniture with a knife by accident.  The furniture is only 4 years old.  I have furniture that still looks knew and it's 15 years old. I sent in the pictures, filled out a report, and they sent a claims rep. to the house.  He walks in with an iPhone , snaps one picture then I said did you see the damage on the cushion, pulls it aside and snaps one more picture  .That  was it, in less than 2 min. he was gone.I said what will they do next.  Well be in touch!  They called the next day and said it was from wear and tear. NOT AN ACCIDENT: which is what you  ARE PAYING FOR.They said that the fabric ripped because it was warn.  After taking the complaint to many others in the company including a "durablend leather specialist" they denied the claim. Please believe me if you buy this protection plan you are wasting your money.
    MAJOR SCAM!!!!!!!!!

I had a guy from furniture pro solution come out to look at my couch and rocker that were broken in May. It was only 7 months old.my wife bought it from Slumberland. The guy came out and looked at it and said he wished Slumber land would stop selling this because it was garbage and was made in china or somewhere over there. He said it could be fixed but it would cost about 500.00 and that he didnt think he would be paid for it and he would have to talk to his boss. He kept on rambling on about a conspiracy to make him look bad by them making crappy furniture so he cant fix it. He was crazy. I called the store and they just replaced it. The sales man told me they have been getting alot of the same from that company . I dunno why they keep sending em to my house. Two times the same guy come out and didnt fix it

Terrible customer service.  Sometimes you get someone good, and they actually act like they can help you, but in the long run they look for any excuse not to fix your furniture.  Don't use them and buy this protection plan.

My complaint is after 93 days cushions are sagging and material on them is turning. Slumberland is washing their hands of it and Dimensions/Montage is saying that that is reasonable wear. I spent $2060 on these couch/love seat not to make it 4 months is unreasonable to me. I would not recommend either of these companies.

    Scratches
I submitted a claim to montage, the table I have has deep scratches in it.  My nephew was playing at the table with a matchbox car and scratched it.  Very deep scratches that penetrate the substrate.  The claim was denied because they are saying they are normal wear and tear.  I explained to Chris that the table is rarely used and that if you look at the pictures, the damage is all in one area.  She did not agree so I asked to speak to her supervisor.  Her supervisor, Sara, called me the next day, I explained to her that the damage was all done in one day, I knew I had insurance and if there was damage earlier I would have submitted a claim.  She said she understood what I was saying but there were too many deep scratches to have been done in a day.  Have you ever had a 4 year old play with cars???  They don't stay in one place!!!  She said she would check into this further and get back to me.  We were on the phone for about 5 minutes, and she literally sent me an email 5 minutes later stating she looked into it further and they cannot process the claim.  I don't know how she looked into it further, or what she did, but really 5 minutes.  I sent her an email asking for the number to their corporate office and the address, I plan on writing a letter regarding this claim.  This is ridiculous.  Why do we bother getting insurance???
