Why do you say 'called you back' when I never called AHA in the first place!  And why do I have to tell each one (have received more than 6 unsolicited calls so far) to stop calling my number, why doesn't AHA have a single notification policy that gets the word out to all solicitors?  This is infuriating and certainly assures that those of us being call will NEVER contribute to an organization that sanctions such rude and intrusive practices.  And since these independent solicitors are paid a commission, AHA should have its non-profit tax designation revoked.

These people yes have a good cause. But, one call is far to many. My phone is for my personal use.
My phone rings all day with unsolicited calls. I now turn the ringer off so I can't hear it. What other choice do
you have. The do not call list does not work.

This is a scam. No reputable charity calls six times a day with different numbers. They send you envelopes to give to your neighbors . When the money is sent to them they deposit it under their so called charity. You are actually culpable for aiding and abetting a scam.

We have a firm policy:  Any charity that uses our contributions to hound us with telephone calls is IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM OUR LIST OF CHARITIES TO WHICH WE CONTRIBUTE.

This is not a non profit. It’s a non ethical organization. They have resorted to using technology that masks the real phone number and looks like a local number from the same area code. My family will now never support this organization. If they ever did any good for the world, it is now lost on these slimy practices.

I get so many calls daily from different telemarking numbers that I only answer the phone if it is a number that I know.  All others go unanswered and any donations that I would normally give or have given to in the past no longer receive them.  It is a very sad day when one will not donate to a needed cause because of their interuption of my daily life

It's not a scam. They use a robocall system. They don't give a [***] if they bug you.

Multiple calls EVERY DAY.  Leaving a dial tone for 30 seconds each on my answering machine.  This is harassment

Has anyone been helped by the AHA?

No one is helped except the perpetrators of this elaborate scam. They send you self addressed envelopes that you give to your neighbors. Your donated money goes right into their bank account in Texas , which is a shill account in the Bahamas.

to my knowledge, they have helped put  $$$ in their own pockets, all the pamphlets I received 3 years ago were worthless, one of them was on sex and said "masturbation is a good tool to relieve stress" So that is what they do with a donation, print useless stop smoking and masturbation instruction pamphlets , and put the other 90% in their paychecks, When I asked them do you the aha help pay medical bills , she replied "we don't need volunteers at this time in your neighborhood"  back in 1970 on valentines day I volunteered all day selling heart shaped baloons and paper flowers, with the money going to the aha, I was 12 at the time and my mom was recovering from a M I , they didn't help her , and they never helped me, 4 heart attacks and bills you could only imagine, $175,000. for 1 stent , not including the $6000. a day for the hospital room in the extreme cardiac care floor of the rip off hospital, it took them 27 minutes to bring me a nitro, and when I reported that to the cardiologist, the nurse stopped responding to the call button, I brought my own bottle of nitro , after that because they charged me $245. for one nitro, I pay $5. for a whole bottle at the drugstore. aha is a worthless scam.

If you are endorsing companies for health foods...you need to tell Cambell's TOMATO SOUP to get the HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP out of the can....SHAME on you for thinking that is heart healthy.......not eating it any more and you need to pay attention to labels and what you are doing for health assessment and THAT SYRUP is not healthy...i don't care how much of it is in there .....no wonder  we are a FAT society...but not me.......get a clue!!!!..I am sick of that syrup being in so many products....

The AHA needs to rethink their marketing. Phoning people at 6:24 a.m. ET is rude, rude, rude!

Please have your caller system LEAVE A MESSAGE identifying your organization and purpose of the call, with a return number so that people can call back to volunteer if they choose. Simple fix for the AHA!
