Get an ip phone, panasonic phone that can be programmed to block first ring, and you will only be able to tell if you got a robocall by checking the isp webpage.

The AHA has the nerve to list all the numerous phone numbers they use to cause intense annoyance to people who do not want to receive their calls.  All my friends are complaining about this campaign, where they not only ask you for contributions but also ask you to solicit contributions from your friends. I don't answer their calls, but they call (from several different numbers with deceptive Caller IDs) at least 4 times every day. Very very irritating; after this I would never consider contributing in any way. Sleazy.

I get calls from these people in the morning and at night after 8 pm. It is ridiculous what I was wondering is if this is a scam and not really the American Heart Association. We know scammers can fake phone numbers. Does any one know for sure if it is the AHA/ Just wondering. Whoever they are they are extremely annoying.

I'm tired of these unsolicited calls asking for 'kevin' and then 'well maybe you can help me'.  These calls are harassing and dont even know who they're calling.   When someone says NO! And hangs up...take the hint!  I will never donate to an organization that harasses people and doesn't even know care who they're calling--just get a dollar from anyone.

So tired of all these calls. Sunday morning!!   Come on, stop it. If they are legitimate numbers, why is my robo call blocker blocking them.

I have received calls every day— even Sundays—from mid-October.  I may have had calls before then, but I do not have them on my list.  I asked the first time that the person stop calling. That was an 855 area code.  The next day was a call from 866-633-0792, but still American Heart Association. Then came 866-225-0070, then 866-633-0792. Followed by 855-317-5243. On and on to this morning which was an  888 number.  I started blocking all the numbers.  When 888 called, I picked up and yelled at him.  If the AHA were a business, they would have some sort of sanctions by now.  The AH.A seems to be abusing their exemption under the Do not call list.  Given my own terminal illness (Ovarian cancer), I need to rest.  However, now I know that I will never contribute to AHA and make sure my family blacklists them too.

    DoNotCallList
We are evaluating potential claims and I have been called.  See donotcalllist.wordpress.com.  The do not call does not apply to charities but it is unclear if a professional fundraiser is benefiting

Stop calling my house.  I wouldn't send anything out for you or give you any donation because of the harassing phone calls that I am receiving.  By the way,  it is illegal in my state to call before 9:00 AM or after 9:00 PM and you are calling before 9:00 and therefore breaking the law.  I will contact the attorney general if this happens again.

If the number on your caller ID is NOT one of the numbers listed by the American Heart Association in the first post, then it's a fraudulent caller and not the real American Heart Association.

I received a "kit" in the mail.  I am suppose mail a letter to neighbors on my street and have them send their donation to me.  Then I'm suppose to mail it to some out of state address.  Somehow it doesn't seem right to me. The letter also tells people they can donate online.  Also, some of the people listed  have been deceased for years.  My understanding was all I had to do was mail a letter to my neighbors.  I tried calling the local Heart Association and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone.  I am suspicious about the "Dear Neighbor" program and think it is a scam.

I have gotten numerous calls over the past two months. They can waste all their time no matter what. I will never donate because of what the donations are used for and that is against my moral conscious and religious teaching.

I have been receiving these calls for months now.  Twice a day everyday and once a day on Sunday.  I am sick of these calls, I usually don't answer.  But lately I have been answering and telling them I will not volunteer for anything to do with aha.  One man got really angry with me. They still call.  What's their deal?
