I got a call today at home from a man stating he was a process server for Collin County DA's Office and he is with the Sheriff's office and needed to come serve a warrant on me.  I was shocked and asked why?  He stated do you live ....are you still at this address are you now at this address and I stated who are you?  He again, stated he was from the county going to serve court papers on me today. He gave me a toll free number for what he stated was the county's office which is 1 866.872.6116 gave me a case no. which he called a Cause No. 008307-TX. I called the number was transferred to a Mr. Fisher's office who stated that law suite in the amount of $6,214.24 was filed in Collin Co., Tx and that warrant was out for me.  He then after back and forth said let me get more information from my secretary and state this was for an outstanding debt in from Capital One a credit card that I obtained several years back and had disputes over interest charges etc.  He stated that if I did not want to go to court or jail that I could pay $1,951.00 in full by end of business today and this matter could be cleared up.  I explained that I recently lost my job etc.  Anyway, he stated that I needed to call him back by EOB today or they will serve the papers.  Ok, so that was a heads up for me.  I called the DA's office nothing is filed on me as of today, after searching PMG it is clear that they do not practice best practices for collections and have been in trouble for this before back in 2004.  I need someone to give me advise. I want to pay off my debt, I don't want this type of collections to continue this upset me, made my blood pressure raise, this type of collections are not the right thing to do.  Had they called and ask to make arrangements or give me an opportunity to clear the matter, rather then threaten me by taken legal action, or harassment stating they are sending a sheriff over today.  This is wrong, bad business, and should not continue this company is bad news.

I need a little help. The remaining people need to be served on our action. We have filed a motion to intervene on the FTC action and will also be seeking leave to pursue the individuals not named in the FTC action.  I need current addresses and/or place of employment for the following individuals:

    Sarah L. Bartsch
    Arthur Castillo
    Patricia R. Ccolvard
    Cutter F. Halleman
    Tohso A. Hendlin
    Steve R. Nelson
    Tuan Trac

Sub service on Victor Hugo Marquez and Samuel Alexis Marquez was just completed but additional info on these individuals would also be appreciated.  I see alot of discussion here, but unfortunately all the venting does not help bring these people to justice nor has the FTC action even named thses individuals. Please help me so that our lawsuit can hopefully put a stop to many of the "Corona cluster" illegal collection operations. Thank you in advance for any help tht may be provided.  Information can be posted here or sent to my private email at diversifiedarb@aol.com.

I believe Orca Portfolio Management to be the old Global Bureau of Recovery, or in the very least bought their accounts.
I know for a fact GBR was sued for their illegal tactics, and Orca will be too if they keep it up.  I heard of a law firm in the
LA area (The Consumer Law Center) that can help you no matter what state you are in.  Do not give these schisters any money,
bank info etc, and record them if you can.  They cannot send a "server" with papers.  Also get their address and send them
a return receipt letter, demanding they cease ALL contact with you. Hopefully I have made some sense.  Orca, I know someone from there reads these post, I would watch my back carefully...be very aware....108 Business Center Drive ain't that far.

LEAVE HER ALONE replies to Not Me Again

Yes, Global Bureau of Recovery became Orca after Pam Mathews merged with Anne Nelson, and yes they "sold" there accounts from one to another, and yes there at 108 business center drive, and yes, Pam is a fat toothless tweeker who throws blame and lawsuits on previous employers, toll roads, and her stupid son who uses a Jewish alias cause he thinks it makes him sound like an attorney, but LEAVE HER ALONE!!!! do you guys f*ck with the homeless guy with dirty greasy dreadlocks panhandling on the freeway offramp?  do you f*ck with the guy that trys to clean your windows at street intersections?  NO?  then leave her alone!  she's just a pitiful individual with a pitiful future.  would you rather she applied for welfare and soaked up the free money?  she has no skillls other than shopping and tweeking.  hows a girl to survive????

PB Recoveries? replies to LEAVE HER ALONE
How's the business doing that Pam started in Anaheim with a grand opening on April 1, 2011?  PB Recoveries?

I also know that her other company - CMA - extracted a million bucks from victims in less than a year in 2011.

And yes.... 108 Business Center Drive Suite A in Corona is the correct address.

And as to the poster "LEAVE HER ALONE".   Your analogy about homeless panhandlers and window washers doesn't fly because those folks don't make money illegally and immorally like Pam and her minions do by holding a proverbial gun to peoples' heads while making baseless threats about bogus debts, lawsuits and process servers.

Pam - and others like her - deserve EVERYTHING she gets.

GBR was not sued but I can see someone has a hard on here. This site has became a war between collection company's nothing else.  It is sad that people in there own industry are so stupid that they attack there competition by lying and making up things.  Instead of destroying the industry why not stay positive and try to take care of your own problems and stop making problems for others.  Try going to church and asking .God to forgive you for all your lies and the people you continue to try and hurt.   .

Don't dignify them.. replies to Prove it
Phone shakedowns aren't an "industry", just a racket.

As dishonesty was at the root of the last recession, it's not likely that more dishonesty will do anything but delay the recovery.

If this "industry" self-implodes, somehow the world will go on.

Fyi: the Brindle and Stone Associates scam! is running healthy they called me today leaving threats about my properties and how they will serve me papers if i dont' respond within 4 hours to make a decision. Blah, Blah, Blah ya know, anyway their new Scam number is 214-810-3778 and they are also calling the company "Paul Phelps". So in my anger and frustration i figured i would play a little game with them, i decided to make private calls to them all day long and a matter of a fact i will continue to make them all week long; as different people just to harass them back, lol... Kinda funny when they get annoyed, i love playing this game... I got the guy so pissed off he started yelling and asking for my real name, hahahah, i was laughing all the way to my car. I plan to make another call sometime next week and ask if they want to meet somewhere local in Dallas Texas so i can pay off this debt, i will laugh if they agree to meet and i am nowhere near or in the state of Texas of where i plan to send them... Ha, lol, [***]! Gotta love giving them their own medicine....

What idiot keeps throwing names out there from left field.  Sounds like you have a problem with Pam Mathews.  I don't think it is right that you put her cell phone number on this post,

Grow some balls and stop playing in the play ground with the big kids, when your a infant still sucking the tit. Worry about the collection agency you work for keeping there doors open.  And stop trying to put your competition out of business.  If we could just get rid of you want to be collectors maybe this industry could move past the [***].

Why don;t you leave this open for consumers    to complain?

You have to understand we are dealing with debt collectors. Obviously the people who chose this line of work are not the brightest people. Expecting them to be able to read or write a literate sentence is just to much to expect. More often then not these scum buckets do not pay much attention to detail. Instant gratification is what makes these [***] clowns wake up in the morning. Learning to read and write is not exactly a priority for a debt collector.

Well, that's news to me. So tell me, ye wondrous, completely innocent, law abiding debt collector or non-deadbeat citizen that defends scammers for no apparent reason; what are we educated wussies permitted to do under your watch? I'm sure you'd like us to shut up and just make it easy for you to collect an easy payday, but that's not gonna happen.

one their professional skills.  they don't like vict... I mean debtors, using the tricks of their trade.

It's part of the shakedown game.

Abuse and deception are two sides of the same coin.

I received a message from them at my home and at my mother-in-law's home asking for me about a legal matter.  The message on my answering machine indicated that she had papers to serve me in 2 days.  Left a claim #.  I called the number left 855-294-0886 and the man stated it was the Civil Claims Bureau and the person who called me was the courier and he would see if my "hard copy" was still in the office.  Wanted  me to identify myself with SS# and other personal information.  I told him the claim number should be enough and I wanted to know who the claim was filed by.  I also told him I had googled this number and it came up with multiple message boards about this exact situation and that it was all bogus.  His reponse was "if you believe everything you read on the Internet, then you would believe you had aliens living next door to you".  He told him to just go ahead and serve me with whatever he had because I'd love to see them.  I find it interesting that I got the same exact phone call about six months ago saying the same thing and then was miraculously never served with anything.  This is why I find them completely incredible.

Same ol' shakedown... replies to Elizabeth
      Profile:

      Complaints start Jan. 24, 2012

      https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-855-294-0886
      "Civil Claims Bureau"
      "claims to be lawers"
      "Candice Lee"
      "Jeffrey Douglas"
      "Shavon Johnson "
      "mr Sullivan"
      "mr Hamilton"
      " Candace Lee "
      "Mike Gervias "

      "Azdartman
      24 Jan 2012
They claim my friend owes money and i have to pay it for them  "

"talked to Shavon Johnson and she asked if I knew what type of company they were and I stated a dept collection co and she said no. "
"He also advised that I was on his "schedule" to come to my work or residence to serve me papers"
"I do find this very odd and believe that this is a scam since I do not owe any money to debt collectors....."
"I also called them and would not give company name."
"I received a call from a Mike Gervais who said he worked for a place called Vision One. He wanted to come out and serve me papers."
"I called the number back spoke to some lady who said my sister use me as a co-signer 3 years ago and I needed to report to court. "
"She was calling on something I paid off over 4 years ago!!!!  She kept saying the papers show I owe 15 times more that what I paid!!.....she put me on hold claiming to talk to some attorneys and came by wanting to make a deal less that half of what she originally quoted me!!  "
"he replied from a check loan that I got 5 years ago. I had thout this was taken care of years ago. I asked him to tell me the exact amount that I borrowed and he wouldn't."

Deception includes implying or pretending to be "attorneys".

      One shill post shows up.

Note numerous attempts to collect when clearly no debt is owed, using unproven "cosigning" claims, etc.  They are adapting their pitch to match the victim, implying a con, not debt collection of real owed debt.

Several reports of attempting to collect on trumped up old paid payday loans.  May have just conned the consumer into thinking an old loan was being collected on, or may indicate access to credit reports.

May also indicate they are buying old payday loan debt information out the back door of some other debt collector, and working the really old junk, including paid and settled "debt".

Report of calling when the alleged debt was supposedly owed by a friend may indicate use of skip-tracing.  They could also just be browsing social networking sites.

No address reported by anyone.  Never any validation, use of talk-offs when people ask for proof, implies they have nothing, and couldn't get it if they tried.  They are making this up.

Complaint start date of Jan. 2012 is consistent with a Corona Scam or CMAG spin-off.

No location, but style of con, and aliases, sound like "Buffalo" area.

Does not appear to have the usual Corona-style separation between callers and closers.
May be just  a small number of people, which would be consistent with no "portfolio", and no need to employ and totally fake "debt".

Nothing at all shows up in BBB under "Civil Claims Bureau" or "855-294-0886".

There is a debt collector called "Vision Financial", but their complaints differ from these "shakedown" reports.

Vision One may be their telecom.  They may have failed to change their caller id, and had to talk their way out of what it showed.

You might contact Vision One, and ask them if the number is one of theirs.
