Complaint

Country: United States
I got a call today at home from a man stating he was a process server for Collin County DA's Office and he is with the Sheriff's office and needed to come serve a warrant on me.  I was shocked and asked why?  He stated do you live ....are you still at this address are you now at this address and I stated who are you?  He again, stated he was from the county going to serve court papers on me today. He gave me a toll free number for what he stated was the county's office which is 1 866.872.6116 gave me a case no. which he called a Cause No. 008307-TX. I called the number was transferred to a Mr. Fisher's office who stated that law suite in the amount of $6,214.24 was filed in Collin Co., Tx and that warrant was out for me.  He then after back and forth said let me get more information from my secretary and state this was for an outstanding debt in from Capital One a credit card that I obtained several years back and had disputes over interest charges etc.  He stated that if I did not want to go to court or jail that I could pay $1,951.00 in full by end of business today and this matter could be cleared up.  I explained that I recently lost my job etc.  Anyway, he stated that I needed to call him back by EOB today or they will serve the papers.  Ok, so that was a heads up for me.  I called the DA's office nothing is filed on me as of today, after searching PMG it is clear that they do not practice best practices for collections and have been in trouble for this before back in 2004.  I need someone to give me advise. I want to pay off my debt, I don't want this type of collections to continue this upset me, made my blood pressure raise, this type of collections are not the right thing to do.  Had they called and ask to make arrangements or give me an opportunity to clear the matter, rather then threaten me by taken legal action, or harassment stating they are sending a sheriff over today.  This is wrong, bad business, and should not continue this company is bad news.

well, there goes the plausible defense
You would think that the owners of a multi-million dollar scam company would be able to leave it to the employees *cough, cough, I mean subcontractors* would be able to handle the dirty work them. Usually, when the boss is willing to roll up his sleeves and get down and dirty, the results are a company that thrives and flourishes. In this case, the owners might have been better well off snorting lines, driving sports cars and coming to their untimely - oh well. The FTC might have intervened just in time.

Trying to brush this all off on his loyal "independent contractors" and managers. What a guy.

    Yeah
I saw that in one of the PDF files from the case. Sad. What kind of business owner teaches people how to do a job and then throws them to the wolves to save his own skin? I think if more of his employees knew he sent that to the F.T.C. and also knew that he is the one who postponed the hearing and kept them all from getting their paychecks that the loyalty they still feel would dry up quickly.

    They are braindead zombies...
that will believe anything that is fed to them, hook, line and sinker. At this point, its easier for them to be believe that their payday is simply being delayed due to technical errors. For them, to accept the fact that they will need to go back on welfare or apply at the nearest fast food restaurant is simply unfathomable. They have no way to make this kind of money ever again in life. They're used to the 'spiff money' that comes into their accounts twice a month.

    Post it
Post the note. See how many of the employees come out of the woodwork.

For those in the nosebleed section
Let me break this down into terms that you can understand. Becoming a part of any branch of law enforcement is much like joining a gang; once you're in, you're in for life. Members of the law enforcement community hate to see their name tarnished by 'one of their own.' Whether you quit, resign or retire, you're still a part of that family. But what would you know? You probably refer to them as 'pigs' and 'narcs.' Isn't this something you should have learned during your various stints in the 'clink?'

That was a d*mned good try though. Next time, brush up on your grammar before you try to school someone that is leaps and bounds beyond you in every way possible.

    Shills really can learn
I'm so glad that you learned the difference between 'you're' and 'your.' While you probably still don't understand syntax, any improvement is a step in the right direction. If you keep making a diligent effort, maybe you'll be elected as the new jailhouse lawyer in your tier. Reach for the stars and you can accomplish anything! That is, if the IRS doesn't squash your hopes and destroy your dreams prematurely.

    John Cook
John Cook is one of the bosses that garnered so many complaints - and who was exposed on 800notes by a420chick (and others) after a420chick responded to a craiglist's ad for employment.  Numerous photos of him (he wears distinctively long dark braids) are currently available on fb under Vanessa-Jonny Deese's (Jason Begley's inlaw through his wife Shontel Deese Begley) photo album titled PMR.  That album has numerous photos of many of the employees - including a group photo - being discussed over the last few days in this forum - including April & Joshua Martensen.

Also under the album titled Chuckie's Bday party - I think there might be a good picture of Jason Begley.

Also good possibility a Mike O'Keefe (has a girl friend Jamie Rumenapp) may have been a boss man.  His girlfriend has a fb album titled Engagement photos taken by Shontel Begley and a remark that Shontel is Mike's boss' wife.

Look quick though -fb pages are disappearing daily - looks like several have been deleted altogether since yesterday.

    Accurint
The  ftc docs  confirm they regularly used Accurint to skip trace

    grow up
I saw some of the pics they are all so juvenile.
Looks like the boss's wife deleted her fb.
Do they realize that if you google their names the list that someone
posted on page 44 pops up.
Any employer in the future can google them.
They are going to have a hard time explaining their past employment.

    Wayne Lunsford in Sherdog fight
Has anyone seen the updated post at getoutofdebtguy's blog? Apparently, Wayne Lunsford had aspirations of being a mixed martial artist, but not surprisingly, he failed miserably. I gotta find out if there is actual video of this fight online.

    Jason Begley
I saw this cage fight video taken in 2007 awhile back and wondered if this was "our" Jason Begley.  Maybe he and Wayne were both into exhibition fighting at one time.

I'm sure the irony of some of the following won't escape most of us:

    New Hire Pointers:

"When first coming to an account it is always best to call the POE (place of employment)first".

"Contact relatives instead of the debtor on the initial phone call to create urgency".

"Use Accurint and CBC.com to track debtors."

"CBC.COM is used to find the debtors most recent phone number and address"

"The best tool for tracking POE is Google".

"Do not play on accurint.  Everyone is given a specific code and if you look up anyone famous or people you're not supposed to i.e., Tiger Woods or Brittney Spears, criminal charges will be filed against you".

"When you first get new biz get all good #'s for that account (credit report, Google POE, cbc, accurint and pull all useful information.  The way accurint does the batching now it should only take a couple minutes to complete a debtors file".

    (This pointer is priceless):

"Getting the debtor to call in - (The actual debtor) - this is the tricky part when trying to get a hold of the debtor sometimes the person on the phone is not being so helpful and might be lying....Yikes!  How can we tell the difference you say?  Well we can't.  People are good liars.  So what we do instead is give everyone the phone # and if they know the person they will pass the message.  Now after you've been here for awhile it will get easier to tell if the STO will go anywhere.  Learn the technique from one of our experienced dialers.  If you know for sure it will be a waste of time then don't give the #."

    it just gets better
Its especially funny because they are having the same tools used against them now, then have the audacity to get upset. And the bit about people being good liars because that is exactly what they were paid to do. They knew it, they just choose to ignore it because the money was too good.

Now, they're getting angry because an online database of their information (most of which was public record anyway) has been compiled, and there's nothing they can do about it. Amazing that people who quote bible verses are the same ones that made a proverbial deal with the devil. The evil things they did likely caused innocent people to lose their jobs, become depressed and even worse. They LAUGHED at causing them pain. And now someone is supposed to feel sorry for them now? Hope they all get their just desserts.

And what if you look up someone's elderly grandma and threaten them with arrest?

The callers were doing the searches, and the records log that through unique codes traceable to an identifiable individual.

Looks like anyone receiving these threatening calls should be contacting Accurint to find out who made them.

    stop it
Leave these people alone... They will have there day in court but stop trying to expose the personal information let the FTC do what they have to do they dont need your help, even if they did delete there FB if the FBI want it they can get it...Your just a pissed off jack ass that's ticked off your not getting paid either. The deal is up I'm sure theyre shaking in their boots enough without you digging in their personal lives. I'm sure some of these people have children to protect.

    Children?
When they harrassed and terrorized families on a regular basis they lost the right to complain about being bothered, kids or not.
