Seems Like the more SPG CONSULTANTS moves forward, we are uncovering a dirty little secret that no one wants to stand up and fight against. Telemarketing Fraud
it seems that every state we go to and every other business has had one of those calls

Hello… We would like to verify your companies Listing Online
Are you still At ___________________ now this is where the telemarketing companies get tricky they ask you a series of question knowing full well you going to say yes to like the address city and zip … as soon as you reply to any of their questions you’ve been trapped

the conversation is the taken to the verification department, the verification will then call you back and see if they can legitimately get you to to commit to a listing but try to remind you of the first conversation you have with the previous sales agent where you were told it was for a 4 or even 5 year listing online for 500.00$. sounds great 500$ for a 4 year listing online ..but don’t be fooled even though you were reminded the verification department will only say for your ONE YEAR listing online will be invoiced to your attention ..now if you agree you’ve been SCAMMED .. in about 35 day you’ll receive a invoice for the 500.00$ and it will be already past due and a will following the invoice here comes the calls from the collection department.

Now here is where the Company get Slick… if they get through the full script of the verification and you turned them down and said NO..
Well that’s too bad. Why? you ask. Cause they have the recording of you saying yes to all the other questions from the earlier call and all they have to do is now put your voice saying yes over the part where you said no.

Now I won’t go into detail about how much money my client have lost and I won’t go on on about why its taking the government over 20 year to stop this type of fraud
all i can say is Yes There is help out there and yes someone does care about you and your business.

Want to know how big this problem is these are companies that is sending out invoice to people just like you and I who run businesses for our future and our families

THAT’S RIGHT THE LIST IS THIS LONG

Mass Marketing Fraud is defined as fraud committed via mass communication media using the telephone, mail, and the Internet. Provisions under the criminal regime of the Competition Act prohibit all materially false or misleading representations made YellowPages.com

Yellowpages.com is an internet advertising portal that alleges to increase the clients internet exposure to searchers looking for the product or service that you provide in a given geographic area. The business practices of yellowpages.com are questionable at best and are possibly criminal. Their actual exposure is limited.

Their advertising graphics are amateur. Their results are insignificant to non-existent. All in all, this is a boiler-room operation that uses high-pressure sales tactics promising unrealistic returns, tying clients to heavy-handed contracts followed by harassing phone calls and collection procedures.

The fact that the local, state, and federal regulators have allowed this type of immoral operation to continue, should not deter the scammed business owner from fighting these criminals.

knowingly or recklessly, deceptive telemarketing and deceptive prize notices.

Well, now you can add Commercial Yellow Pages Incorporated to the list. Seems we all have about the same story. It appears they have this scam down pat.
We too have been contacted by COMMERCIAL YELLOW PAGES stating that we owe $1,298.32.
Apparently we were contacted a year or so back about our internet advertisment. We were under the impression this was AT&T since we do advertise on the internet with them. We just figured this was a out-sourced call by AT&T checking to see if there was any changes..  We gave this call no further thought until January 11, 2011 when they called and stated we owed over one thousand dollars. When we told them we had no advertisment with them they came off with a recording of the conversation from a couple years ago by the amount they came off with as my bill. I'm not sure this isn't just a doctored up conversation by them. Upon threating us with turning this over to a collection company we told them to fax us the bill. It didn't take them long to fax us a letter stating they have agreed to close our account for $910.50, but only if we faxed back a statement allowing them to debit the $910.50 from our account by January 13, 2011. If not we would owe them the full amount of $1,298.32.
COMMERCIAL YELLOW PAGES so graciously stated in the letter that our 2011 listing was canceled free of charge and we were placed on their "DO NOT CALL" registry.  Turning this over to our attorney. By the way, have you ever looked at what they say is advertising for your company. We never even knew they existed until January 11, 2011. I contacted the BBB and filed a complaint. Apparently we are not the only one they are trying to scam. Love their rating with the BBB.  "D-".

By the way, They don't even bother to bill you for their so called services. These internet yellow page companies all seem to be alike. Wait for a year or two and call people and tell them they owe this small fortune. I have never seen a legitimate company not bill customers for this length of time, then decide it is finally time to make a collection call. Something really smells!

The company I work for just got faxed and called about an outstanding ~$600 balance with "OIS Pages".  Nobody has ever agreed verbally or signed up for any products or services with this company.

DO NOT BE FOOLED.  AVOID AT ALL COSTS.  DO NOT PAY *ANYTHING*.  WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS ILLEGAL, AND THEIR BUSINESS MODEL IS BASED ON SCARING PEOPLE INTO PAYING WITH THREATS OF COLLECTION AGENCIES AND SUCH LIKE.

Unless you signed a contract, no funds collection can be enforced, and anything they attempt to record on your business credit report can be easily removed.

Unfortunately, the reason these fraudulent businesses can exist is because a percentage of people will simply pay their bill.  The people behind these operations need to be jailed.

I have the exact same invoice and price from the same regional yellow pages from ACA recovery collection agency.  I thought on line yellow pages are free?? So what to do now??  How do you fight this?  Or do you just send them the $479.95

So what do we do? Should we be afraid to answer the phone? These practices make it hard for legitimate businesses to conduct business over the phone. We filed a complaint with the FTC. Everyone affected should do the same.

We too are getting calls from the yellow pages on line. What a crook!
The last time he called-he just screamed at me. Apparently he doesn't like being caught.

    Frustrated in Florida
I too received the same call and rudeness from Lisa Johnson.  They claim we owe them $578 and that if not paid by March 25, 2011 we will be reported to collection agency and our financial institutions notified.  They further claim that they have recorded proof of verbal agreement to their services.  I listened to mine and it was doctored and many of the things I actually said were not on the recording! Do not waste your time trying to explain anything as you won't get anywhere.  Take the proper channels and protect yourself, ie.  file complaints with the BBB and FTC.  Ms. Johnson has taken now to sending nasty faxes that are highly unprofessional and threatening to me.  Keep all documentation.  I am giving all of mine to my attorney.  Above all, do NOT give them any of your hard earned money.

The words Yellow Blue Media, just looking at them may my usually low blood pressure shoot up!!! Being a small business owner I hate having to take time out to deal with this. I could hope that just ignoring them it would go away. But I am filing complains kicking ans screaming all I can to bring attention to them. I hope that the government or powers that be will put a stop to it. I am glad to know that I am not the only one but it saddens me that there are more.

Commercial Yellow Pages is a Scam Vendor. They are trying to bill me $1398.32 for a bogus internet listing. Everyone who has been contacted by Commercial Yellow Pages must file a complaint at FTC.gov. The government is really cracking down on these fraud vendors. Remember People by law you DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THEIR INVOICES. I’ve spoken with Kevin Salatsky, John Krane and Justin Diaz at Commercial Yellow Pages, do not let them bully you into paying the invoice. The more info we put out there about this company the better off we all are.     www.ftc.gov

Also having problems with Yellow Blue Media.  They have been calling since January claiming I have had a listing with them since 2009. They sent me an invoice with a date of 3-18-11 for $799. Now a man from National Credit Recovery called on 3-16-11 saying the bill was due to be turned over to a 3rd party collection agency if I didn't pay right then with a credit card or e-check.  Can't quite figure out how a bill that is not even due yet could be turned over to a debt collection agency.  He has continued to call and threaten me with late fees and interest not to mention the mark against my credit. Today he called again this time saying I had had the listing for 7 years! How is it that I have never had a bill from this company in all those 7 years? I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the BBB of Southern Nevada, which has 235 complaints against this company.  An employee from my state's Attorney General has advised me to vigorously pursue my complaints against this company with the Nevada State Attorney General's office.  Watch the address on these invoices.  The one on my invoice doesn't quite match the address listed online for them.

We are being hit for the second time from Regonal Yellow Pages Onine. Have a letter that confirms complete closure dated 6/16/10. Now Lisa Johnson is saying that letter means nothing because the guy that wrote it is no longer with us! She is saying that we had a two year contract....all our paperwork from them last year says one year.....they make me crazy.....

SCAM SCAM SCAM! We fell for Regional Yellow Pages 2 years ago and "settled" for paying them 1/2 of our 'bill'.  Now 2 years later Ms. Lisa Johnson is trying to pull the same thing on us again - just like everyone else here is saying!  I was so confused/upset until I googled them online and the first thing that came up was a list of complaints against them! If they contact you, report them to the Federal Trade Commission, BBB, and Attorney General!  I was told in person by the FTC, "DO NOT PAY RYPO ANYTHING, IGNORE THEM, THIS IS A SCAM".  When they threaten to turn you over to bad debts or a collection agency, don't worry about it.  FTC told me they're just trying to scare consumers into paying.  Take a look at their rating on BBB's website!  The address from 2 years ago no longer exists and the State of Indiana is filing against RYPO!  Their new address is New York already has an "F" rating!!

I submitted a complaint form the state attourney generals office online- it takes a few minutes and they will send them a certified letter.

I actually got results back that is a letter from them to the attorney general that says they will stop pursuing and void the debt.

That was about 6 months ago...and I just got another call today-easiest to just hang up. They call back and say a different company name.... good luck.

Just received a fax from Union Financial, Inc, Champlain, NY.  Included an invoice from USBRONLINE, Inc..  This invoice is from $3,200.00.  It is for listings from April 1, 2006 thru March 31, 2009.  Do these people not realize that I can google thier addresses on Google Maps and see that they do not really exist?  Will not receive a penny without a signed contract......and that they do not have.

Just got a call from "collection agency" at OIS Pages claiming I should have received an invoice over 7 months ago, which is unpaid.  The total bill came to $950, but they were willing to drop it to $700.  I told them I wanted a copy of an invoice faxed over before I would even consider paying this, and immediately got on google and looked for legitimacy about the company.  Thanks for all the posts.  Apparently it is suppose to take up 72 hours to get this fax, so I'm hoping it ends here.
