Shopping Essentials has been debiting my checking account for $19.95 without my permission or knowledge. I don't know how they got my bank information. I searched the web and found many complaints about them. It's a scam! I called the company to have the charges reversed. The girl said she got a confirmation from my email address, for the membership, I then told her that her company has reports all over ripoffreport and they reversed the charges right away. Get them on the phone and be persistent! Talk to your bank as well about the charges.

    I was scammed when buying a ticket on Travelocity. I found charges on my credit card dating back to 1 year ago form shopping essentials and passport to fun which are the same company. The charged $19.95 each 2 times in the first month 9/2010 which is $79.80. After that they have charged me $23.95 each ($47.90) every month since then. This is a total of more than $600.  The only reason I did not realize this before is because this year I have dealt with an illness and death in the family.
    I have no recollection of signing up for this membership but when I called they said it happened through the Travelocity website.  Shopping essentials and passport to fun are not willing to refund my money and Travelocity is not willing to help. I have found numerous reports of this scam through Travelocity online.

    I havebeen getting carg24.95 every month since June for Shopping Esentials and Great Esscapes.  I am not sure how they  gotanything but I did not authorize all these payents.Why would I sign up for  soething that I have no use for aaaaand thisz has been gooing on since June that comes to $ 174.25 for soething I knew nothing about nor used.

    Shopping Essentials has got ahold of my account information and I have know idea where the got permission to take money from my account! Why is this still going on!!! Complaints go all the way back to 2007! WTF!!!!!

    I know it's been 3 years but have you ever pursued Shopping Essentials?  They took $ out of my bank account for 2 years

    I work for PGI which includes such catalogs such as potpourri, favorites, northstyle, Serengeti, among others. As an insider view I can tell you that shopping essentials really is a scam. The pressure for us to sell this "program" is immense. I really feel that the company cares more about selling this scam than their actual items. With the amount of commission and prizes for top shopping essentials salespersons I can only imagine the amount of money they PGI is making off of this shopping essentials scam. And we are told to lie about so many other things, this company really does not care about its customers. I honestly hate working for this sketchy company, it's aweful. However jobs in this ecomomy are hard to come by and I have kids to feed. But I do try my best to discourage people from buying this program, I can't in good conscience push it as I'm supposed to do.

    Basically the same as everyone else.  They started charging my account after I used Restaurant.com and I didn't catch on until way too late.  When I called to cancel they said sure and didn't even ask why.  I asked how I had gotten on this list and they said that I had signed up on-line.  I asked for a full refund, which they refused, but I am going to pursue it.  In this day and age shame on me for not checking my charge card statements more carefully, but shame on them for scamming people.

    I too was Paying them for over four years. On Sept. 11, 2013 my first phone call dispute they only offered me a one month refund. Second try with my credit card company they offered me a twelve month refund. I then contacted the B.B.B. the same day they replyed saying that they will credit my card the FULL amount within three to five business days.Will give update then!
