They called AGAIN today leaving the recorded message saying "we are trying to locate the whereabouts....  We have the legal right to contact all family & friends associated with you that are listed to gain information...."
From the first time I actually spoke with them, they REFUSE to give me ANY documentation.  The loan they are claiming was PAID IN FULL 20 YEARS AGO.  So far, they have called me from different numbers and I have reported each one and will continue to report every number they use to harass me with. Here are the numbers they have used so far, 877-203-9808, 877-201-0733, 877-301-0367, 877-301-0367 & 877-303-8424.  I'm sure they have other numbers

    Did they actually have any information on the alleged loan that you paid 20 years ago?
    Or did they just run with a guess based on your own questions?
    If they had specific information on an old, paid loan, what type of loan, and what company was it with?

    I recieved an e-mail from adam white with ACS but no contact info.  Says they will garnish my check or arrest me.

      Block the email and then delete it.
      You cannot be arrested for a debt, which is a civil matter, not a criminal matter.
      Garnishment only happens through a court order.
      Ignore them...it's all fake.

    Keep getting calls from 877-203-9808 with a recording that they need to locate the whereabouts with my name.  and if they cannot get they will call references that I may have used in whatever loan they are talking about.   They do not leave any business information or a persons name to reach.  I am so sick in tired of getting these scam phone calls it is very annoying.

      FDCPA prohibits deceptive, harassing, or abusive collection.  That includes collecting on fake "debt", and threatening to embarrass you by illegal disclosure to third parties.

      File complaints with FTC, your state AG, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

    I also got another call today from the same people but with this # 877-202-7127 threatening the same thing and that will come to my home or also to my place of employment. Good luck with that as I haven't worked in 6 yrs and am Disabled. I'm really getting sick of this crap!

    BRG Recovery, 877-202-7127 and 877-203-9808, stating I owed $300 from a Payday loan borrowed in March 2011.  I have used these loans, but always paid them back.  They are calling using those two numbers.  They have no BBB rating.  I pay my bills, but given this is from 2011 and I know I paid all such loans, this appears to be a scam.  They search the Internet and obtain information about you to make the claim sound legitimate.  I am avoiding these calls because they appear to be scam related.

      Did they ever take you on to court? They started calling me today saying they are filing with the. County clerks office on my voicemail

        They called me in March stating they were sending someone to my address to serve me papers.l in 24-48 hrs. They asked to verify my address and i said you should have it. They told me i have to be there. Then on a call before that, the threatened me that they are going to freeze my bank account.

    Upkeep Consultancy? says someone filed a complaint against me or an allegation and they are pursuing me at home and at my work and i can respond volunarily and once i am found i forfeit this> wanted my  last four digits of my ssn i would not give so they basically hung up,  they called my dad and brother looking for me too,  number they left is 877 203 9918

    Typical shakedown  racket..
    If they're calling relatives, then they've got access to skip-tracing, probably Accurint, datawhore to the scams.  If you gave them the last 4 digits of your SSN, Accurint would allow them to get all the rest, so having your SSN is no proof you owe them.
    If they make threatening and intimidating calls, including calls to relatives, but won't send a letter as required by FDCPA, they're most likely just another scam.

    This is still going on. I started receiving these calls at the beggining of this month and i never answered so they just leave a message. If you try calling back you will never get an answer.

    These people are calling my grandmother looking for me by my maiden name, I have been married for almost 8 years now. They state they are a location and tracing company and can legally call my family to find my where abouts. First time I called months ago never got through to a person, so they just called today so I call the number they left and it's brg. So I informed the lady that she was being recorded and she said she was doing the same. I told her not so nicely I don't appreciate them calling and harassing my 81 year old grandmother that I have turned in there number and names used when calling to the sheriffs department, and the lady quickly cut me off and said I will remove your number. Yes I have dents I am paying but to harass an older person then not have the balls to discuss with me why they are calling, scam. 8774529421 this is the number given to call back

    Calling me and now my mother. I have no outstanding loans and any debt I have is being paid on a regular monthly basis. Such a scam! 877-207-4140 is the number I'm getting.
