I have not been to the gym in over a year because I was pregnant. Today, Saturday I decided to work out. I took my 10 month old and my 9 year old sons to the kids club.  I walked in NO ONE greeted me or asked How could they help me. I could not tell who was working because the young woman who finally decided to walk up to the counter (was dressed in a coat zipped up) did not utter a word. She finally said do you have a tag (short) as if I was interrupting her from something. I gave her my phone number. I took my baby inside of the gate and struggled with him as I dragged a baby swing out of the corner to put him. Two other Kid Klub employees sat in chairs and did not even offer to help or ask me any questions about my child.  I told my 10 year old son to pull up a chair and sit next to him.  I walked out and complained to the person at the desk. I worked out for about 45 minutes because I did not feel comfortable leaving my children there. When I walked in one of the employees was sittiing on the counter TEXTING on the cell phone.  Does LA Fitness not understand the liability if one of these children get hurt because of neglegence?!  I complained again.  And best believe when I get there Monday I will be speaking to the GM!

We have had the same type of care there. Initially when we began using the Kids Club there was no check-in or check-out even taking place. My wife dropped our baby off and an hour later I picked him up no questions asked. I even mentioned being scanned out and they replied "no, you're good" and I walked right out with a baby. Since complaining it has gotten a bit tightened but I still believe a child could come up missing very easily and/or become hurt and they would have no idea who the child belonged to.

I took my son to the Kids Klub in Murrieta twice. I will never take him to that location again. The first time he went there he was almost a year and had just started walking. One of the workers knocked him down with a baby gate and watched him cry. I took him out right after. The second time I took him, now a year later, he is almost two and usually goes to the Temecula location where they absolutely adore him. Anyway, I walk in and the girls working there are rude and dismissive. Then I see a power drill and other tools that had been left out within reach of the children. Again, negligence. Apparently my son had been acting aggressively, I should have known he was over tired. However, those negligent girls did not come get me immediately so that I could remove my son. Instead, they let his behavior escalate. I worked out for two hours during this time and never heard anything from anyone. There were three girls working in that kids club one of them should have notified me immediately. Instead, they suspend my son from kids club for three months because of his behavior. I will never EVER take him to the murrieta location again. The girls working there are horrible.

Wait, the girls are horrible or your parenting is horrible? If I leave my child (a rather independent 5-year-old) in a gym´s day care, it is with 2 basic understandings 1) there is a set of eyes on him if he should be injured and 2) I should check in on him either after each class I attend or about halfway through my workout... Perhaps some of these care centers are at fault, but if YOUR child was over tired and you decided your body was more important than HIS and took him for not ONE but TWO hours...sounds like you were trying to rid yourself of a spoiled little brat who probably should get kicked out for three months. Time to put your children first, lady.

Yes! If you have a child who's a handful you must be more mindful! 2 hours is close to selfish any day, but especially selfish a day you knew he was a crank and over tired.

Idk you but you've got no damn right to shame a mother like that. You don't know her or her child. And I'm sure your child isn't a saint all the time either.

You are absolutely out of line. If people are getting paid to do a job . It should be done. I dont know any job that permits texting for personal conversation. Tired kids are not spoiled. You must not be a parent . Because if you were you would know the difference.

Wow... you might be right about not taking a cranky child but for the most part you came off like a judgmental ASS!

What should I do? I took my kids to the La fitness kid's club in Brooklyn Center like 4 to 5 times already. I paid for it and I have trust of them watching my kids until today. Today, I took my kids and there's 2 employee are watching the kids. I can't believe that they let kids climb over the table to other side which they shouldn't. Its dangerous and slippery too. More important, its not even a play area. My 2 years old fall down to the hard floor, I would say its about 3 ft fall. She had a huge bruise. They didn't come to get me. By the time when I picked them up from the kid's club, the girls will explained to me what happen and didn't even apologize to me. I was very upset, but I was in a hurry home to, so I didn't get a chance to go talk to manager. One of the lady in the locker told me that I should go online and file complain and take pictures of her bruise, It must be a very bad fall because the bruise is huge on her forehead.
