How do I get Bank of America/BAC to stop calling me 3 to 4 times a day to ask me when I am sending my payment in that is NOT LATE?  Can I file a complaint somewhere?  Is it legal for them to call me if my payment is not late?

Bank of America should be investigated by the Federal Goverment as to the unnecessary phone calls that continue from Bank of America as to why they are allowed to harass their customers who pay their salaries. I will never again use my B of A card. My account is up to day, yet I get harassment calls, requesting that I pay immediately. I am surprised that an organization the size of B of A has not been investigated by our local and Federal officials and fined a punishing amount of several billion dollars for their misuse of the name Bank of America. They are not a bank that any Amerian should use unless they enjoy harassing phone calls. What does it take to get our Federal Officals to put a stop against this behavior???  Where are the laws that have been put in place??, ignored by our local, state and federal governments and all our residing elected officals seem to run and hide. If the laws are weak, then so are our Statesmen who we elect tocreate our laws. Help all Amerians end the practices and policies of Bank of America.

I receive 5 to 6 calls starting on the first if my payment is not already at Bank of America.  We are current and only owe a couple of more months.  Trust me, I would never recommend Bank of America for anything.  They are awful!  So looking forward to tell them GOODBYE!  We do not have a checking or saving there and will NEVER use them in the future!

I always pay on the 15th of every month with Bank of America and is never late, every 2nd of each moth the calls start coming in and on Saturdays since they know I'm home they start calling at 8AM waking my baby up. One Saturday it was 7 calls just in the morning starting at 8AM. They will call everyday up until the 15th when I pay, for half a month every month my baby wakes up from the phone ringing and throughout his naps in the afternoon. It is ridiculous that they are allowed to do this to their customers who are not even late with payments. I have asked hundreds of times to notate my account, speak to a supervisor, stop the calls, wrote to FTC and yet they still call many times a day for two weeks every month. I need them to stop calling me when I'm not even late on payments. I have thought about changing my phone number but fears that they may start harassing me at work. Every time they call my baby wakes up, when my husband gets the call we end up arguing because he thinks I may not have paid the mortgage and I will be on the defensive because my baby is screaming from having his sleep interrupted. It has seriously made my life miserable and stressful.

This is to follow up on my post. FTC is the best!!! www.ftc.com, they finally got Bank of America to respond. Bank of America assured me that I will never receive another collection call again, and 2 months after no collection call. I still pay every 15th of the month. Bank of America also said that they acted within the law in calling me. (I wanted to say harassing me), and they were insistent that using the grace period marks your account as late.

If you want them to stop, write a letter to www.ftc.org, be accurate as much as possible because Bank of America will dissect your letter piece by piece and address whatever you are saying. Do not exaggerate because when I wrote on my letter that I always pay on the 15th of every month B of A corrected me and said that there are 2 times that I paid on the 16th and sent over proof. Statements for the past 3 years which I didn't need to see. They will stop calling but it will take time because B of A will conduct an investigation. I am so glad I did it and I found the information on someone's blog.

Bank of America constantly calling us at 8:00a.m. & many times a day including dinner time & on the weekend specially on Sunday that we are at church.  We are not late & I told the two Loan specialists that we are not even late & why are you calling us.  Both of them said, it's due on the 1st & this is the debt collector try to collect the debt.  Bull Carp!  our Closing document says we can pay it between the 1st thru 16th without any late charge added.  If we are late & not able to pay then yes put my number on your Q system but not when we are not late!  Please "DO NOT CALL" between the 1st thru 16th!  Both Rep said they cannot do that unless they will receive my payment.  I told the Reps Bank of America is harrassing us & it's causing me & my husband a big fight because he thinks I didn't pay it on time which is we are not LATE at all.  As big as Bank of America you would think they have the sophisticated program to pick up any loans that are delinquent & automatically puts in the Q call.  Come on!  What happen to the regulations that President Obama puts in effect to the creditors that any collector cannot harrass the customers during meal time, any event & church time & specially when they are not delinquent.  What happen to that!  It is very annoying and stressful when you talk to this loan specialist they memorize the script saying they are the debt collector....... debt collector for a non-delq customer!  Give me a break!  We are not even past the 16th yet.  My other mortgage company don't even call us unless it is after the 16th (grace period).   We are not very Happy with Bank of America!

Same problem that everyone else is having with BAC, I have always paid within the 2 week grace period for the last 5 years.  I have never missed a payment, and starting last month I now receive multiple phone calls per day from 800-669-6650 and 866-680-0227.  I explained to the rep. that I have always paid within the grace period but to no avail.  These bad business practices need to stop.

I am so disgusted with BOA calling my home when I am current.  I too pay before the fee kicks in around the 15th of the month but until then I receive up to 5 even more calls a day.  When you talk to the representatives about this they say you can write a letter and call it a cease and desist of calling your house at all.  They will also not remind you to pay so it's all or nothing.  At this point, nothing is better!!  Why harrass customers who are paying!!!  Doesn't make sense!!  Maybe the bank is in trouble.

Starting on the 3rd we get up to 15 calls a day.  I cant tell you how much I hate this bank.  They are rotten to the core.  I think their new name should be Bank that Hates Americans.

I hate Bank of America! We have been on-time with our payments for over a year, all the while, they continue to send people to our home to see if we still live here and even someone today to leave a note on our door to call them. When I called to yell at them again, I got this automated crap telling me that they are closed. I'm guessing this all stems from me refusing to give them my cell number, since it was not longer economical to keep a cell plan an a land line. It seems they are trying to force us to leave our house and there must be a law against this. I can see if we were 3 or 4 months behind, maybe, But we are not behind in payments.

Bank of America stated that they have the legal right to turn me over to their debt collectors because the loan is due by the 1st. The 2nd through the 15th is just to give you a chance to pay so you don't get any late charges.

They will not stop!!! I spoke to them and they said I will be receiving phone calls anytime I don't pay them by the first.

Maybe they are just bitter people....I feel sorry for them.
I now use a phone line just for them and I never hear it ring.....out of sight out of mind, right!

BoA is really a big frigging joke. I wonder if these people sleep at night there is no grace period according to them. I will never do business with them again if I can refinance my home loan at another institution. I will be advising anybody that mentions financing with BoA to run like hell

I too have been harassed by BA after not paying by the 15th. the calls were toll free calls which I don't normally answer, but I had finance Co.s calling me to refinance from a previous inquiry. These were debt collectors they said. The thing I want to point out they were asking for our last four S.S. numbers. Absolutely would never give them personal info!.I truly thought these were scamers, so I called BA to confirm they were behind the calls and they were. They also bought my Countrywide mortgage. This is the first time I have not paid before the 15th and they will continue to call every month if your payment isn't paid by the first. Lived in my home 18 years and have excellent credit,if enough people make complaints they will stop.

BOA calls me one day after due date. When they tell me I am being recorded for quality assurance, I tell them I am recording them for quality assurance. They refuse to talk to me and say they do not give permission to be recorded. I tell them I don't give them permission to record me. Why does a multi-trillion dollar company have more rights than the customer?

Servicers like Bank of America are using the grace period to make money. They would like to have you pay it as soon as possible to make interest and then pay the lender as late as possible.
The reason for the calls is mainly to annoy you so you will pay as soon as possible. They stretch out the phone call to inconvenience you as much as they can - this is why they inform you that it might be recorded, verify all kinds of information that they already have etc.
We pay as late as possible because we hate banksters.
I sometimes mess with them on the phone just to have fun with it by pretending not to understand, speaking with a weird accent or talking to my kids and ask them to hold. I will verify the information any longer because I don't have to. I encourage everyone to not pay until the late fee is due - if everyone did they'd go broke sooner and I doubt we would ever let them be bailed out again!

I have recently started getting calls from boa stating I am behind on my payment. We have had a mortgage with them for almost 10 years. I have always paid between the 10th to the 14th. On my loan docs, it let us pick which date to come out in which we chose the 10th. A few years back we stopped the auto draft from our checking account. I asked the last rep. Why would you intentionally let us pick our date only to turn around and harass us. She couldn't give me a straight answer. I have written and mailed certified a letter to stop calling all numbers on my accounts. Once I receive my signed certified card back I will have a recorder ready to record any calls from them. At this point you can sue for harassment. Thank goodness TN  is a one party state when it comes to recording calls, but to be on the safe side, once they state who they are I will let them know that the call is being records for legal purposes. We will see how they react to this. I will def. wait until the day before late fees are applied to make each payment from now on.

We also have been getting these calls for the past 6 months.  This seems to be something new for us and like all that have posted, we have never been late and will never be late.  Thankfully, our home phones have a hold feature and until I can get them to stop calling, when they answer, I wait a few seconds and ask them if they can hold.  Of course they are willing to and there they sit until they wake up and realize I am never coming back...  Just a little satisfaction and a means of wasting their time like they are wasting mine.

The harassing calls from B o fA started about 6 months ago even though I have always made my automated payment on the 3rd (because I get paid on the 3rd).  I will be sending the Cease and Desist letter to (800) 520-5019.  I do like Ken's put them on hold idea.  My handling of the calls is slightly different - when B of A calls and they ask you to confirm who you are just refuse.  This is prudent advice for any of these types of calls because it could be a phishing call for all you know.  The rep always asks "So - you don't have time to talk with me now?" to which I respond - "No - I just won't give you personal information over the phone".  The conversation ends extremely quickly.
