Made an airline reservation, the tickets showed up on my credit card, along with a charge with the above description. When I called to try to understand, they said thats a "commission" from the airline. Well its not a commission if I am paying them directly. There is nowhere on the receipt which very conveniently does NOT show this broken out so yes, big surprise on statement. The receipt DOES have a breakout of "OUR FEES" which was less than the charge. THey said, oh thats not applicable, thats for call in reservations. When I pointed out it said ONLINE, then he gave another excuse. All that to say, they are very purposely omitting the service charge from their receipts. If its all on the up and up, then why wouldnt you break it out, instead of causing alarm and confusion with a separate charge on your credit card. Shame on Cheapoair for their deceptive practices.

Im enraged. There should be a way to get that money back.
I got the same charge!! After booking a reservation, I get charged $17 dollars by COA*AIRLINETAXES&FEES 866-636-9088 NY 01/23 and then a COMPLETELY separate charge, the actual price of the ticket, which was $441.
I used them before, and they NEVER did it like that in the past. But this year (2013) this is going on and I guess 2012 as well, judging by the age of the posts above.

I booked a flight from phx to portland maine and they took my card info and told me I had a flight before I got off the phone and that was false ... they waited two days to send me a email and tell me to rebook my booking has changed a "email" they should have called me back but never did . So when I noticed the email later that same day I called to speak with someone and the man that I spoke with had very poor English and I could barely understand him . He told me my card was declined I said that can't be right and he said is that all I can help you with today and I said no and he said please hold I will transfer you and he sent me to a servay..... nice guy he was . So I called my bank and they said there is no record of your card being charged or ran so ... I called the number again and spoke with a the "payment department " which told me my card was never ran and hold on a minute and transferred me back to the first people and they told me that the someone else got my flight and the transaction did not go threw . I said numerous time then why did you send me all the info of my booking confirmation he had no words and told me to go online and thank you for choosing cheap0air and asked if I could hold for a servay again !!!! . So I had to call once again and I asked for the supervisor or manager and the female would not transfer me she instead did all her normal prompt read lines I told her the entire Situation of how and what had taken place . I explained to her that if they would have called me back and told me that someone took my spot on the flight I could have easily booked another for a similar price of around $446 that included the insurance too . She told me the only thing she could give me was a flight she could give me would be 5 days later for $546 and she could not honer anything that I was told to my previous booking .So I took the flight she gave me and told her I wasn't ending the call till I got a ticket number and my card was charged . She got rude with me when I asked her why can't she honor my original flight and she said word for word , would you like to go online and do this yourself , that is horrible customer service , what is the point of having them if they treat people that choose your company to spend money with . You have been my flight company for 4 flights now I never thought I would lose money and be treated like I was . This is not the American way . The root of are people have respect and we honor are business and I'm a business owner of a company and I would never treat my customers in this manor I think my employees and I will book with someone else after this last flight I take unless this email is responded to in a timely manner with respect and a price match of my original flight I had booked . If there is no answer I will go elsewhere and will never refer you
I just booked flights for my sister from Fresno (CA) to Perth( Australia), and while booking there were no charges mentioned.
now I got this charges of $55.82 on my credit card. I am already paying INTL charges for Credit card, but what for this money
can some one please explain me????
