Poor quality jewelry, lying and rude managers and associates

I had the almost exact thing happen to me at Sears near Cleveland Ohio. The"jewelry manager" refused to take back inferior ring that was 70% off because the price had been jacked up in the first place. Sears diamond jewelry is inferior and cloudy. I was forced to upgrade in price because they would only exchange and said I had retuned the ring with no receipt nine months later. All of this was told to me by Sears corporate office customer service who said that Sears store manager would not do a refund, case was closed and she would not open the complaint. I don't know where the lies came from about no receipt and my having the ring nine months when it all took place between the months of Oct and Nov 2012.  Now I have wedding rings that are overpriced inferior quality that I was forced to have by Sears. Also lied on and treated rudely by several Sears personnel as well as Sears corporate office customer service associate as well as Sears store and jewelry managers. I am not done though and will never shop at Sears again.  They overprice poor quality then give 60-70% off to make it appear you are getting a deal and the jewelry is junk, cloudy diamonds and 10k gold that turns dark, almost black. BEWARE OF SEARS THEY WILL GET YOUR MONEY AND REFUSE YOU A REFUND. I can see why their store is so empty all the time, even for Christmas shopping.  They are nasty. Lying and rude! Better jewelry at Walmart, for real. Not just saying it.

again a big corporation has taken advantage of a disabled senior citizen .no help from B.B.B. OR the DBPR AFTER ALL the documentation proves i have been victimized  . in my opinion all party's involved are being influenced by sears home services in some way or an other an do not want to be bothered by truth of a disabled senior citizen .B.B.B  SERVES NO purpose either does the D.B.P.R. unless you have money.sears home services salesmen misleads u in their roof sales presentation. contract is done on a cd for your computer.mine malfuctioned making it unable for u to read your contract. also making it to late to cancel in 3 days notice. now u are in a binding contract. sears did not mention fine print in their contract or fine print of manufactures material being used.mfg.only guarantees u a good roof shingle. if installed not to mfg.specs. like mine an most likely all roofs. mfg.voids their product warranty .salesmen does not tell u that.

my roof was installed by their  sub contractor an failed county code inspection 3 times.sears management ignored me on installation issues after multiple phone calls.managed to contact a state senator about my problem. only after that did sears respond. they had to remove a brand new shingled roof do to improper installation . i documented the complete installation of the roof .also did the same the second time.pictures of shingle nailing.sheathing drip edge ridge vents also video. pictures dont lie.new contractor for second reshingle tried to scam me on plywood that was to be repaired caught him with pics. roof is installed just as bad as first time.if not worse.passed code inspection.they are unable to see how shingles are nailed after the sun beats on them. code does not care about shoddy workmenship  code is immune from prosecution. .both contractors did damage to my ceilings.both say it was not their men. contractor says men were not in attic they were in there to remove nails that miss trusses.i have video of them coming out of attic. in my opinion how can u trust a company that hires contractors that lies an are unable to install a roof to code an mfg.spec. SEARS u are the most shameful misleading co.  Florida residents if u have to have a roof done avoid the SEARS

I bought "gold" earrings from Sears and they turned out to be gold filled.  They had a respectable layer of gold on them but thats not the point.  I paid 200.00 for them, believing them to be 10 K gold.  I would never have been blasting them with the blowdryer had I believed them to be gold filled.  They were sold to me as 10 K gold.  When I returned , 8 months later, a senior sales clerk seemed aware that this had been going on.  I made it clear I was shocked that this could happen at Sears however despite my assertiveness I was both polite and reasonable when speaking to the store manager.  He was not concilliatory at all, denied any responsibility and offerred no apology let alone a refund.  What a bad ending to a long relationship with a retailer.

I bought an expensive David Tutera ring for my wife for our wedding long story short I have sent this ring back 5 times already for diamonds falling out haven't had it for a year yet also when you send the ring off to get repaired it takes forever to get back however I don't blame the people that work there its the sears jewelry repair crew that's garbage.

I stumbled upon this post for the same reason. Very expensive David Tutera ring that I'm CONSTANTLY having to send back to be fixed. So many diamonds falling out! Last time when I got my ring back the corners that hold the diamonds in looked like they had been almost completely sanded off! No wonder they're falling out so fast. I think at this point it's been out being repaired more than I've actually worn it. Mind you, it's been 3 years now.

My wedding ring was from sears.... The diamonds were beautiful... But the "white gold" turned black.. Never in my life have i heard of this... We have taken my ring in 3 times for it turning black and they want to blame it on me because i work in fragrances, saying that its because of my job... thats funny though.. my 10k white gold ring from kays never turns black, neither do my sterling silver rings or bracelets from James Avery... DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! My warranty is up next month and they wont return it... even though we constantly have this problem.

Is your ring gold over Sterling silver or all gold? Did you purchase the protection plan for 2 years or lifetime?

Sears used to be great but the current management has run it into the ground, pitting managers against each other, buying and ruining Kmart, closing stores left and right, and letting other stores fall into disrepair.

Bought my wedding rings at sears but had them resized.. Two weeks later they are telling me that somehow the rings got lost by ups so now they're trying to find out what happened them. The manager was kind of rude and told me that I have to wait cause there's other customers with the same problem that she has to help first. No more buying jewelry from sears!!!

Feel for you.  Sears lost my engagement ring a few years back and said that UPS had.  Tell them to give you a tracking number.  They never found mine and only reimbursed me a few hundred dollars towards something else. Speak to floor manager who is above dept manager.  They are trained better.   Keep trying God bless.  Hope it is found..

Sears lost my engagement ring while it was out for repair.  Two years later, I sent out my wedding ring to be cleaned (brand new)...it was kept for 2 1/2 months and it was returned bent where six diamonds lay on top.....ring looked mangled.... I cried because it was like New and just wanted it cleaned only..... beautiful ring was ruined😢....had to send it out again for another month...six months later, diamond fell out on same ring that was worked on.... seldom wore it because it no longer fit the same after repair....Anyway, I returned  it to Sears and they came informed me that nothing could be done because warranty had run out during the 3 months of service; even though I called associate to ask if it was insurance and she said Yes.(Have lifetime on my other set that cost less btw) I remember paying for lifetime but we moved and receipts are lost..... Sears says nothing on file.  Plan reads that an associate may call to remind us to update plan but no one did and I was told that it was fully insured.  Now I am out of engagement ring..... and my wedding ring is ruined.  4,000 dollars down the drain.  Been with Sears for 50 years...... last year bought my washer and dryer and year before that, my television.... .Sears used to be awesome.... I even recommended my best friend  last month to buy her fridge there, which she did......Sears associates are rude and told me to stop crying.....  I called customer service and waiting for response.  Montebello store needs a Floor Manager because I was informed that no one is there....  What is worse is that I just bought myself a birthday present a few days ago ,(uh, before I found out about my ring).  Cost me about 150.00 sale price and my hubby wants me to return it and to never buy from them again!  My hubby and I are retired and don't need this stress!!😢I am a very nice person and so is my hubby😢...I have been crying for days.... Sears is not the same..😢😢

So.... got a return call from Sears.... persistence is vital!  Manager called me and said that unfortunately, fixing my ring will cost a lot.  I am soo sad and hurt.  The girls I spoke to were sympathetic and they tried to help... the apologized for not understanding situation.  Not all Sears personnel are mean.  I think Sears needs more people who will understand the consumer more.  I did tell them that they have to enforce what is stated on care plan and remind the customer to pay for warranty..... all could have been prevented.  I think I will just switch stores.  I actually hope Sears doesn't close..... I love my washer/dryer.  My ring is a loss😢.

Male friend bought a tri- stone amethyst ring at Sears. Needed it resized. Took it in within 3 days . Got back three weeks later only to have one of the stones fall out 2 days after. Took it back to Sears next to have it fixed. Got it back 3 weeks later only to have another stone fall out even after I instructed them to tighten all the pronged. They came back stating it would cost $50 some dollars to fix and that the ring showed wear and a prong was bent. I wore the ring a total of four days out of four months. They had it in repair or sizing that entire time less the four days. When I asked for the money back they said the warranty had expired (30 days). This will be going to corporate and anyone else. I'm 65 yo and have bought from Sears and so did my parents. Use to be a name you could trust for quality. Bad business.
